Would love to here some Aggies chime in. My guess would be 8 but maybe all it would take is 4.

They payed a lot of money for underachieving Jimbo, and the recruits. Low returns! How pissed will donors be over another four loss season?

5-3 in the West will cause some serious heartburn down in Calvert Country. Jimbo isn't going to continue with the NIL support laying eggs.

He got a fully guaranteed extension so no matter what these threads are dumb, when the buy out is south of +$50 million probably

So we rather pay Jimbo and lose 10000 games than pay $100 million to buy him out? Yeah duh, your school can be the ones that fire your coach if they haven’t worn a National Championship in 4 years, you’re a Bama fan I assume, Hawg* I see, I guess if Pitman doesn’t win this year, he’s fired right? Wink

I have been a fan since the 70's. We have never really achieved much in that entire time. We were on the right track when Jackie Sherrill was coach. The t-sips helped cause his early departure but Sherrills teams had a different feel and look than all other coaches before and since, until now. We had decent records under Slocum but that was during the death throes of the SWC.

Now, I believe Fisher has us on the right track, Fishers teams compete and are more consistent and rarely get blown out. That is something I haven't seen since Sherrill.

We have never had the long term success that LSU, Bama, and Georgia have had so I and I think most Ags will go a long way with Fisher, who is having moderate success now, before we would even start to think about a change. I think Fisher has us on the right track.

an SEC West Runner-Up finish is a championship for Aggy, so if not that, then hot seat.

16 over 3 years.

1. They can’t afford to fire him
2. They worship this guy
3. Letting of Jimbo would be letting go of the fantasy

How many times has Arkansas won more than eight games since A&M joined the SEC? One time.

If we lose more than 3 games this year, there gonna be some natives getting restless.

I see they get Miami at home. If Jimbo f*cks that one up against an ACC team, first-year coach (Cristobal), A&M will fall apart and go 7-5 or 8-4 (sound familiar, Aggies?). Miami easily has the better QB (Van Dyke). Could be a statement game for the Canes and the beginning of the end to Jimbo.

13 (which includes a bowl invite they never received but forfeited anyway).

The correct answer is two. After he loses to Arkansas and Bama, the media will turn up the heat October 8th just to see if the boosters go full Auburn.

Jumbo just got a 3 year extension with a raise. No hot seat this year.

IMHO,

He needs to show marked improvement over last year. Not so sure it is all about wins and losses at this point.

I believe he gets at least another year or two as long as there is improvement.

If he is not in the playoffs by 2024, I think A&M will start evaluating options.
