Slight rebuild or contend again?

They have a pretty light schedule - Auburn down, Florida in transition with same middle-of-the-road team as last year, and Tennessee is Tennessee. They should be undefeated entering the SECCG

I don’t think UGA will be as good as last season, but a slightly worse UGA is still likely a contender.

Expectations are to be in Atlanta in December and getting into the playoff. Same as every year.

Contenders for sure. We reload on defense. Won’t be as dominate as last year, but will have more explosive plays that will be flashy and could lead to more turnovers. I think we let up more ppg, but also score more ppg

Kind of similar to Bama’s teams of late. Y’all will be super annoyed.

It’s fun having a good offense, but it sucks watching the other team drive all game.

Contenders for sure. The defense will take a step back, but I don’t see a team on the regular season schedule that will have a good chance of beating us. I expect to go into Atlanta against Alabama 12-0, or, at worst 11-1, if UGA has a terrible game against Oregon, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina, or Auburn.

Check the preseason ranks. We expect to be no less than that good.

we'll be better than just about everyone not named alabama and maybe ohio state.

We'll likely go 12-0 through our schedule since nobody in the regular season is on our level, then lose to alabama in the SECCG. I don't believe we'll make the playoffs but will beat whoever we play in a high profile bowl game.

So 13-1 and a nice bowl winner, which honestly is perfectly fine with me.

We’ll be down from what we were last year, but we’re still a legit top-10 team and we should be 11-1 going into the SECCG with a win-and-you’re-in scenario against Bama.

Tale as old as time

Why? Where is the production going to come from?

So put aside it’s me asking because it’s not a troll question but an honest question.

Anything worse than 11-1 going into the SECCG is an abject failure. I expect this team to be really, really good. The offensive line will be as good as any in America, they're deep and loaded at receiver (I'm including tight ends here because Bowers is the best returning pass catcher in the conference), and Milton and McIntosh will be good at RB.

The defense loses a lot of studs but has enough coming back to be good while the new guys get settled in. Jalen Carter is the best non-Will Anderson returning defensive player in the country.

They're as good or better at every position on offense, and they averaged 40 points per game last season.

Offense should be very good, better than last year. Defense has to take a step back due to 2021’s being a generational one. I still think the defense will be a very good one, but I think the offense will light up scoreboards.

Why- because our defense won't be as good and we won't have 20-30+ margins in the 4th quarter as often, IMO. Last year we basically ran out the clock the last 1.5 quarters ofthe game just about eveyr game. This year we prohbbaly won't have that luxury as often so will probably attempt to keep the foot on the pedal later into games. I don't think that's an unreasonable take.
