Lol that’s what I thought pussy. Won’t even take the bet after literally word vomitting “conclusive data” lol for 3 straight pages.

In 2022, in any scenario a 12-1 defending national champion SEC squad is making the playoff. Period. No matter what. And I’d take a ban bet on that obviously you won’t lol. I’d give you any odds

If a
1. 13-0 Bama,
a 13-0 Big 10 Champ, a 13-0 ACC champ, a 13-0 Big 12 Champ, and a 13-0 Pac12 champ/ 12-0 Notre Dame. A 12-1 UGA team is grabbing that #4 spot. Every year would that be case? No, but coming off a year where they are the defending champs and lost to Bama in Atlanta the year before? Absolutely. A defending national title team that’s 12-1 is not getting left out of the playoff.

I’m extremely confident saying a 12-1 UGA squad ( the defending national champs) who were blown out and then went on to blow out the Big 10 Champs in a laughable semi-final (adding to a long list of semifinal games the SEC teams have blown other teams out and showing how much better the SEC is then everyone) is going to be included in the playoffs.

Now to your original point, if UGA doesn’t win it all last year I don’t think that’s the case but it is this year. And I’d take a ban bet on that. Obviously you won’t, bc you’re a fricking coward lol

It wasn't a day or so ago he predicted we would lose 3-4 games.
Now we are in a rebuilding year and going 11-1. Thing is...we now have a ban bet saying we would lose 3 games through the SECCG. How do we go 11-1 and then lose 3 games through the SECCG? You can't make this stuff up.

I guess I am in the minority to think the Defense will not have this huge drop-off that everyone is expecting.

Most somewhat knowledgeable fb fans understand our D will be strong yet again.

Probably not the drop off you envision though.

Georgia was definitely better, relative to the country, in short field situations than long field situations (and had a lot more of them). They were still pretty good in non-short field situations, though.

GEORGIA 2021 Points Per Drive - (National Rank)
- OSD (Short Starting Field Position) - 5.22 (#2)
- OMD (Middle Starting Field Position) - 3.03 (#9)
- OLD (Long Starting Field Position) - 2.75 (#7)

12-0 regular season
Then we’ll see how the post season matches up.

Since KS got to UGA, his worst scoring defense was his first year at 24 pts per game. Since then only 1 other time has his D avg 20 pts per game. Last year was 10.

The offense avg 38 pts per game last year.. if the D doubles to 20, which is highly unlikely… and the offense stats pat, which I think it scores more.. so many times last year UGA just killed the second half clock. I see the young qbs getting alot of second half time.. that’s still and 18 pt spread….

I think 17-18 for scoring D is a reasonable estimate.

Offense - the most well rounded roster in the Smart era. Really a strong group up and down. QB is likely the weak link if you had to chose. I'm personally high on the upside of a couple of the backups if it comes down to it...

Defense - I mean the team loses all the experience in the world but the talent still remains. Essentially 3 DCs. Muschamp is mainly on the DBs. I'm expecting strong safety play at some point. The weak link would probably be the inside LBs for sure, followed by CB depth and safety.

All in all expecting one bad loss by the SECCG. Sky is the limit if all key players are healthy from that point on.

Yeah but will anybody on the schedule be able to take advantage? I don't see it, tbh. They're not going to be +15 on scoring defense because a lot of these guys are highly recruited and have been in the system if not been on the field. Even if they regressed to 2020 levels(20 ppg), their offense is much better than 2020.

We rotate so much that most have been on the field. People see how many we lost in the draft and don't realize what we bring back.

Jalen Carter DT
Robert Beal LB
Dan Jackson DB
Chris Smith DB
Kellee Ringo DB
William Poole DB
Nolan Smith LB/Edge

all started more than a couple of games and played extensively.
You are correct, though, that we did lose a lot and should take a small step back defensively. That is fair to say. It's hard/impossible to replace Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean and Travon Walker with equal or better talent.

We had 6 defensive players drafted in the 2021 NFL draft, and still went out and fielded one of the greatest defenses in CFB history that Fall.

Guys drafted:
Azeez Ojulari
Eric Stokes
Tyson Campbell
Monty Rice
Richard LeCounte
Mark Webb

We have stockpiled talent all over the field and are in possession of 3 defensive mastermind coaches. (Kirby, Muschamp, and Schumann). Georgia will always be good on the defensive side of the ball as long as Kirby is the HC.

Will they be at '21's level? Probably not

Will they still bully and harass 95% of the teams we play this year? Yes

+ The offense will be as good (if not better) than last year's offense. Their statistics speak for themselves, so don't come at us with basic-arse "Muh total stats" and "Stetson doesn't pass the eye test" arguments.

That doesn't include portal transfers out of the program.
Tyreque Stevenson
Major Burns
Or UDFA DJ Daniel

(We lost 7 DBs prior to the 2021 national championship season).

I agree. I think it will be a really good unit a few games into the season. The vets should take the young guys under their wings and we should be ok.
