Every prediction i see here has us raiding the ACC.

Don’t give us the southEASTERN conference bullshite.

5 of the last 6 teams added have expanded our footprint to the WEST: Arkansas, Aggie, Mizzou, Texas, OU.

With the SC/UCLA moves why not go after an Oregon, Stanford, Arizona State, Okie Lite instead of the North Carolina’s and Virginia Techs of the world?

Those schools don’t offer anything.

Because Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia say we are. Deal with it OP. Enough of your Midwest tornado schools. We are going after Southern schools next.

Maybe a little of both?
Clemson, North Carolina, Florida State in East
Baylor or Oklahoma State in West

I don’t see the SEC raiding the PAC 12

ESPN will tell Sankey which school brings the most dollars, Sankey will decide those schools are a great fit. It is all about the all mighty dollar, culture talk is just for the fans.

I am betting the SEC and BIG10 both end at 20. If you don't make the top 40 cut you are screwed at that point.

You gonna support a conference that goes from opposite corners of the country?

The SEC has locked itself into the southeast, stuck with taking schools from its own footprint. The SEC's poor leadership and lack of foresight in expansion has left it a regional conference and we all know how that will play out when regional brands go up against national ones.

do you want your University paying to fly there for baseball, men's and women's basketball, softball, gymnastics, etc., etc., etc.? I would rather that money go to buying football players.

Adding Va. Tech and Maryland gets us strong in the DC market

That leaves Baylor, KU, Okie Light, Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech, Houston... just pure garbage.

Because travel for minor sports would be insanely expensive. So we're gonna fly tennis, baseball, softball, and soccer teams to the Pacific Northwest instead of putting them on a bus to the Carolinas?

You know we play other sports besides football and basketball, right?

I think the SEC has done it right. Focus on bigger names in the state in our relative region and prioritizing performance rather than city. OU matters more for TV sets than UCLA.

Candidates out of big 12 would be okie state TCU Kansas Baylor but I don’t think any bring enough to the table that we don’t already have

Given the previous history then that leaves moving east and raiding the ACC.

Clemson and FSU despite not “expanding the footprint” add enough name brand to add to TV rights and fit culturally.

Miami is right there with them.

Georgia tech in theory adds Atlanta but Georgia is UGAs. This is like adding Rutgers. It does nothing.

Next are outside the footprint

UVA UNC Duke. Gotta get vandy and UT on board for recruitment. When you show the university president s the money they will get on board.

Va tech and nc state next.

My bet is Clemson and one of UVA or UNC.

Between vandy UT UF and UGA there’s now enough academics for UVA and UNC to justify leaving the ACC for the SEC

Sounds like they should just reward championships off of tv ratings. That’s all anyone seems to care about anymore. They’d rather have a shite team in an untapped tv market than an actual reputable program

I’d imagine the easiest teams to bring over would be teams that already have annual games with SEC opponents (Louisville, FSU, GT, and Clemson). That would make 20. Add Miami, VT, UNC, and NC St. to make 24. That should manageable to a degree. I miss the rivalry we had with GT and FSU in the 80s.

Look for GT and FSU pretty quick. The sec already has a good chunk of the Dallas/Houston market and is growing . Gonna solidify Atlanta. Next would be Clemson and North Carolina. Miami doesn’t have enough fan interest in any sport.
