Apparently both teams agreed to it, should be cool to see

I didn't even know that was an option

Thats kind of cool. I like that both teams can agree to something like this
I swear if it wasnt for a few posters, Id really like this UT team. Some people just ruin things

I like this. I wish more teams would do this for 1 or 2 midweek games per year

I didn’t know you could just do that.

I’m sure the scouts enjoy it too, even though they’re mostly looking at mechanics

This Tennessee team will mash with wood bats the way everyone in the lineup squares up with the barrel consistently

Only if they are loaded, shaved and rolled

Wait, this is a thing? Was just talking about how cool it would be to play a couple mid week games with wood bats

I hope we cork our bats like Sammy Sosa just to make everyone squeal with outrage as we continue the scorched Earth March towards Omaha

I always really enjoyed all wood bat tournaments in high school/Travel ball tournaments growing up. Makes the game more rewarding. Nothing like the crack of a wood bat.

It's gonna be so fun.
What's the weather? 71 with a slight breeze blowing out?
I bet there's some hot chick there tickling your balls and getting you beer too.
Very jealous. If LSU did something like that I would 100% take my son to that. That's gonna be such a cool experience for baseball purist.

We played a team from straight Georgia Appalachia in junior high where every player on both teams was required to take an AB with a wood bat. Like Cloudville, Menlo, LaFayette area.
Them boys beat the shite out of us since apparently they all took 1 AB with a wood bat every home game.

Lifelong Vols fan here. We’ve got some posters here that just make me cringe.

What’s gonna be the story tomorrow if UT still home runs with wood bats. Will everyone put it to rest then that this team is pretty good.
