I like this. I wish more teams would do this for 1 or 2 midweek games per year

This Tennessee team will mash with wood bats the way everyone in the lineup squares up with the barrel consistently

We played a team from straight Georgia Appalachia in junior high where every player on both teams was required to take an AB with a wood bat. Like Cloudville, Menlo, LaFayette area.

Them boys beat the shite out of us since apparently they all took 1 AB with a wood bat every home game.

What’s gonna be the story tomorrow if UT still home runs with wood bats. Will everyone put it to rest then that this team is pretty good.

Wooden bats are the only way baseball can be played.

I think all college games should use wood bats. It's not cost prohibitive. Might end up saving a pitchers life also.

I’ve always wondered why college baseball doesn’t play with wood bats. Just seems like it would be a normal transition one should expect going from high school to college. Would prob help the transition for some of these guys into the minors. Wonder if it’s a cost thing or something?

I don't think I ever played a game in my life where wood bats weren't at least available laying around in the dugout

Should always use wood bats. College baseball is a joke

That’s awesome. I think college should use wooden bats regardless. It’s cool T at least see it for a game.

Would love it if teams who play a tournament or midweek game, at an MLB, or MiLB stadium, used wooden bats for those games.
