All of UT’s bats on the trip were tested (& passed) Thurs w/1 UT rep on hand & 2 from VU. Only 1 bat failed (a VU bat) pre series. Beck used his bat in BP (Th & Fr) ahead of Game 1 (& Beck said his sticker fell off in the cage). After his HR was disallowed, Beck’s bat was removed & kept by the umpires in there dressing room. UT checked all stickers again & another was missing. That bat was not used Fri; was retested Sat and issued a new sticker and was used in games 2 & 3. IF further testing was done on Beck’s bat it would’ve had to be removed from the
umpire’s dressing room and would have taken place without any reps from UT present
Beck’s bat was returned to Tennessee after yesterday’s game

Stupidity. Teams are having players called out not because they used an illegal bat, but because the "sticker" fell off.

Yes, butthurt Vandy and Ole miss players, coaches and media trying to create a story over a sticker to frame the Gorilla VOLS as cheaters. Auburn, I think had an issue with one of their bats as well.

Vandy had NC State kicked out of the world series last year so they didnt take a L. Does this really surprise you?

I heard those stickers don't fall off. They have stickers from previous games still on them.

I thought the bat which was in question on the Friday game had a sticker from their Wednesday night game against another program on it.

Yeah the announcers went on and on about how they are like car decals for your registration and will not come off.

Because the Vandy one came off during batting practice. Vandy likely messed with the stickers.
