No surprise on the narrative but Clemente says he was low on our board. Might be true, but kinda tired of hearing it since we have 2 commits

What is becoming apparent is that we aren't going to land many guys that are high on our board.

Someone should ask who exactly is high on this staff board then because we are running out of names at certain positions. I wish they understood the concept of taking a commitment now and if someone better wants on board later then you mutually part ways with the lesser guy.

Glenn English Cobb and Faulk are must gets. Anything less is an absolute failure of epic proportions.

With the talent on the team last year 8 wins should have been the minimum. Any heat Harsin got from fans or PTB was well deserved. 6-7 doesn’t cut it at AU. So this give him time bullshite has never been applied at AU for any other coach. He’s a shite recruiting head coach. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until I saw how he handled recruiting last year. I even complimented him on some of the changes he made interacting with the fans and social media/media folks. At the end of the day he’s an off culture out of touch prick that’s way over his head in the SEC. I have never disliked an Auburn hire or coach. Hell I defended tater tot until he was gone. I defended Gus so don’t lump me in to some haters group. I’m just looking at reality. Reality is this ain’t Boise.

Dam I could not have said it better!!!
I have watched every Auburn football game that was on TV since 1969. Last year was the 1st time i did not watch the final seconds tick off of a game. 1993 was hell but I listen to every game. I hope I get that loving feeling again. I will be behind Harsin because he our coach but he will be the first that I will be excided to see who the next coach will be. I would love for him to turn it around THIS year. I would be a fat man with all that crow that I would be enjoying.

Nix would’ve put Auburn in position to win at least 9 wins. Not having a healthy Nix did Harsin no favors on fan perspective there. Not disagreeing though. The remaining higher recruited players like Zakoby plus rivalry games at home last season gave him higher odds for pulling off some program building wins.

I believe he can right the ship and I’ll jump on board when he does but I cannot root for him yet. His roster moves, roster attrition, recruiting, team success, and coaching attrition all show an unproven coach out of his league and I’m not defending a runaway train. I’m pretty big on positive trajectory. Give me something that shows better days are ahead. Bruce showed some signs of upper movement with Horace Spencer’s and Jared Harper’s recruiting class. Any kind of upward trajectory will be swell but the recruits are gonna make Harsin show it first.

Bruce proved he could recruit with the Bowers class. Now they didn’t become sec champs but excitement was building. He also endearing to the fans. Harsins is forced and fake. Without Bama and UGA on the home schedule this year I bet real fans in the seat averages about 73k this year. So essentially 10k short on average for games. I’m not demanding a firing. Like I said if we don’t win 8 games this season we don’t win 6 next season. So just depends completely how this season and signing day goes. We will probably take 24-25 high school players and 5-6 transfers at the end of the year. There is no reason AU with a full 25ish shouldn’t finish inside the Top 10 recruiting.

I’m tired of discussing this and just gonna wait it out. I always want AU to sign every 5 star and win ever game.

I used to build my fall around going to games or watching games.

Gus broke me a few years ago, and Harsin has not brought me back.

I play golf every Saturday. If Auburn plays at night, I watch it. I want us to win, but I don’t build my weekends around AU football. I hope Harsin can get the program to where I would consider bailing after 9 holes to watch a game.

Forced and fake? My heart goes out to these AU recruiting reporters who daily have to drum up enthusiasm on leads that never pan out. Every recruiting article is like Groundhog Day.

Instead of talking about a multi million dollar buyout of his contract.....perhaps we should put those millions to NIL deals and we might be amazed at the results.

Its obvious these fellas are playing us against GA etc for more money, and apparently they are getting it.

Its not fair to say A&M bought the best class in history, yet when it comes to Auburn "Harsin is a bad recruiter".

I am starting to walk backwards too on my confidence in this year's recruiting. And it pains me to do so, bc we all know what that will mean if we don't pull in a top 10-15 class....The depth and quality of the players expected to start the next 2-3 years will make us even LESS a competitve team for the SEC...much less the SECW.

I agree this recruiting sites promoting AU, say the same things now when they talk about a recruit that visited.."Had a great time" or "I can see me going to AU" and then as crunch time comes, even though by golly we have made the top 5 or top 3...we some how end up the brides maid again.

If that happens again this year...how can we be enthusiastic about watching the actual games?
I will ofc..and pull for Harsin and his staff. And if Harsin pulls off a 9 win season...then I'll be even more confused bc of what our 2023 class will contribute if it falls below 20th in ranking...

Do I now look forward 2024 recruiting or is Harsin gone anyway?

Doesn't work that way when the head man doesn't approve. Our guys get NIL deals after they are already enrolled and on campus. Our recruits get zero NIL deals or offers.

Ahh yeah. I don’t think he had an Auburn creed mindset. Wasn’t he dumped by LSU or something.

Ditto. For two decades I knew all the top ranked kids and everyone Auburn was targeting and bringing in on visits, all of it. I'm clueless now. But anyways..

The whole off season debacle has soured me on AU football ATM. I am on the edge of casual fan territory. It doesn't help that basketball and baseball are both trending elite status. Making me very meh on football.
