Clemente posted an update on Picciotti after his OV: He left with a strong impression of the program and our desire for us to land him.
quote:

“That I’m a priority here,” “They would need a replacement because Owen Pappoe he’s going to leaving soon. Maybe (I’ll) fill that spot soon.”

Other things that stood out:
quote:

“Good — first time here in Alabama so I took a lot of knowledge in from the coaches, met some guys, some of the players, some of the recruits,” Picciotti said. “So overall, I had a pretty great time here. So, learned a lot of things and very nice campus.”

On CRob:
quote:

“He’s a great guy and he knows his stuff,” Picciotti said. “I think if I did come here he’d definitely help me out a lot.”

Where does Auburn stand?
quote:

“I’m not sure yet,” “I want to get home so I can think over what my ranking system would be. I’m not really sure yet because this is my last official so now I can actually rank my schools. So there’s what I stand on that.”

What he likes about Auburn:
quote:

“The things that they’re preaching here, I like their mindest they have, “Obviously, champions live here, so like the future, we’ll see what happens, we’ll see if they can get some wins in.”
Clemente said he'll make a decision sometime in July.

The DB committed to OSU basically said the only reason he came was because his sister was in Montgomery and got to see her

I love Zac but how did they not get that feeling talking to him?

They will probably land Faulk, Cobb, and English but recruiting is quickly turning into a shitshow.

Seemed like this staff had its shite together before targets actually started committing.

DB Dale Miller just tweeted that he's committing at 5 today (Guessing ET because we don't operate on heathen time around here). ON3 has us predicted at 95.1% chance to land him, so we shall see.

More embarrassing was the people trying to spin it as us setting the table in case he transfers later

He wasn’t a take as of a couple weeks ago, if he’s able to commit they missed someone or just want some type of positive press

Dude is listed as 5'9" 159#. Prolly in that 5'6" range. That is embarrassing if we are taking dudes like that.

ETA

I want this staff fired for not locking down Harris, Parker and Vizzina. Unacceptable. Smith and Nelson are two more we could have had.

If we aren't recruiting Miller anymore, then its strange to me they would still have him predicted 95% to Auburn. Not disagreeing with anyone's info.. more so a critique of the prediction algorithm.

That’s the problem with those models. They struggle to change fast enough to keep up with the roller coaster of recruiting. Especially in an era where NIL is involved. But like I said, We’ve missed on plenty but I don’t think this is one

I think its going to be interesting to see how or if ON3 does their predictions in the future because of situations like this. I can't imagine they want a bunch of high % predictions being wrong.. a few is expected, but it seems like it needs tweaked a bit.

If it's a machine learning algorithm like they claim, it should learn from incorrect results to be more accurate in the future.

How can the AI learn that it’s not AU without some human intervention? There’s only so much it can do.
