What info do you have about why he sucks as an assistant coach?

Steven Pearl is a waste of an assistant coaching spot. So it’s actually more impressive Bruce is able to do so well with his idiot son “coaching”.

Any actual facts to back this up?

Well as a blueblood basketball program it’s inevitable that Auburn will continue its long basketball tradition as a powerhouse.

Coleman is a dump but it has some incredible history.

Elvis, The Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Dead, Elton John, the Who, the Band, Hendrix, Ronald Reagan

The best coach in the country right now is the son of a former coach. Worked out for him.

Not sure how he would be as a head coach at a big school but he’s apparently one of the best at scouting other teams that we have on staff.

If Bruce stays at Auburn for the long haul our program is likely transformed into something that won’t even be recognizable to the pre-Bruce days. It honestly already is getting to that point. When you reach that level it’s hard to imagine another good coach wouldn’t want to jump at the opportunity.

I don't see Bruce leaving Auburn unless he retires or gets fired.

When a guy already has a show cause on his record you've always got to be worried about the NCAA calling.

Lmao at Steven.

A punk and a clown.

If there’s anyone who could undo everything Bruce has built somewhere it’s Steven.

One of the biggest dickheads and most unlikeable athletes ever to play at Tennessee.

Depends on if UGA can get its act together and who they hire to replace Crean
Pearl was able to pull Jabari Smith out of Atlanta and other schools raided GA for players
GA becoming relevant and GA Tech might fire Pastner, both those teams could hurt surrounding teams stealing talent

If Auburn wants to be bball school...

Pearl needs to stay longer and continue to win so we have the foundation.

Football program needs to continue to suck so recruits see us baskebtall first (I HOPE this doesn't happen)

The biggest difference with Bruce is he had taken advantage of the Auburn Arena. He created an atmosphere that has made a ticket a hard get. In the past AU has had burst of success that couldn't be sustained because of BEC. The AA now has a reputation that another coach can take advantage of in the future and not have to start over. Bama has learned from this and will throw money at Coleman.

What he's done is incredible. Building that Arena when Auburn decided to build it, just a few years before Pearl became available, quite literally transformed the program.

It is, it really is. In the opinion of an old man who has followed AU sports for close to 70 years Wes Flanagan should follow Bruce and Steven should prepare to take over for Wes. Wes is a very good coach and hell of a recruiter. Will AU sustain the success of BP. Nope, because Bruce is the lightning rod for the program although I don't see it going back to floundering like it has under Lebo and the Calipari love child
