It's no longer debatable that Kirby Smart is the second best coach in the SEC

Seriously who has even kept their coach more than four years. TAMU? He's kinda #2 by default.

Probably so. He's done well. We'll have to wait and see on some of the newer coaches, but of the current ones that have been around for a bit he is probably a way distant #2.

And he's only 46. That's the best part.

0-2 vs Ed Orgeron is despicable though

Jimbo is closer to Mack Brown than he is to Kirby and Saban on the “active coaches who have a national title” scale

But, but, but, he's Mark Richt 2.0.

Never was a debate really. It certainly wasn't Orgeron. Winning a NC is great but if I'm being honest, I'd like a NC along with occasionally being in the conversation.

How many NCs would he have won if Saban not been coaching since he started at UGA?

But 2-0 vs. Brian Kelly is not bad

Love the GIF,

Yes Kirby is definitely behind only Saban as far as rating the SEC head ball coaches

Top 3 in the country IMO, HELL maybe top 2 on the country behind only Saban..

I put Kirby as 1st among the other non-Saban SEC coaches.

Saban doesn’t even need to be mentioned anymore — he’s in a whole other category by himself that even putting him on any list with other SEC coaches is beneath him.
