Kirby is a good coach but elite he is not. It took an injury depleted Bama team for him to win. Kirby would be no better in the SEC West than Orgeron at LSU. Kirby still has no clue when it comes to the QB position. This championship covers up a lot of deficiencies especially for a championship starved and overrated program at UGA.

I mean Tua came off the bench and engineered 2nd and 26. I know that was not injury-related but you should have so much depth especially at Bama that you shouldn't use the "injury" excuse. Plus it makes you look weak. You lost. It wasn't your year. Get over it.

Stetson is a good athlete. Seriously. But, if Kirby was a good coach you could've won 2 nattys with Fields. That's how I know Kirby ain't shite and winning this counterfeit natty will cover up his deficiencies and hinder your program long term.

They praise Kirby because he coached under Saban. It's political. But, Orgeron had a more impressive run at LSU than Kirby has had to this point at UGA.

Honestly, I still think he's Richt 2.0 - amazing recruiter, just ok GameDay.
That isn't a bad thing. Being a great recruiter is probably 75% of being a championship team.
Had Richt been coaching in a playoff era he'd have gotten to the champ game several times and probably broken the streak earlier.

Kirby has had and has better QBs now but he can't manage a QB that is beyond a game manager. Stetson is no better than Jacob Coker was for us. A good college QB with glaring limitations.
