You never know. Could be like Brandon King and be a 8-10 year special teamer. I think he lands somewhere and probably gets drafted higher then we are anticipating. Sherwood was the much better safety that class however smoke was rated higher.

Probably a good move with #1 juco transfers coming in.

Respect.

He frustrated me like he frustrated most on here but it wasn't for lack of effort, desire, or love for Auburn. WDE and good luck Smoke.

I wonder if he could gain weight and play linebacker. Especially in a Nickel.

I’m going late rounder 6th or 7th and makes a roster. He will give some fan base outside of the southeast some “smoke” and appear like a great pickup late in the draft for some uninformed fanbase

I would say no. Sherwood was that type because of his tackling ability. No team wants a linebacker that doesn’t wrap up

Who was it that said Slayton wouldn’t get drafted?

Maybe I’m wrong again.

I’ll revise and say Smoke will not be drafted in the first 150 picks.

They do use a lot of DBs for roster spots with special teams.

Do you feel like Smoke is substantially better this year than in 2019?

THIS!

I'd be cussing him one play, then cheering my arse off the next, but there is no doubt that kid gave everything he had on every play. Hope he lights up the NFL!

I hope he gets drafted.

I hope he plays several years.

I just don’t quite see it, but Neiko Thorpe played many seasons so maybe Smoke will play for two contracts.

Him crying after the IB is the most emotion I have seen since Antoine Nolan after the 98 UT game. Another in which a very over matched team got an incredibly inspired defensive effort but zero offensive support.

Big respect for him. He made mistakes but his effort level never slacked on run support.

Respect for playing in the bowl game too. Will be pulling fir him.

I honestly don’t know what another year in college will do for him as far as development. I’m not sure he’s going to get any better by staying another year.

Smoke will be a good pro. He makes plays.

I've seen him as high as the 3rd-4th Round in some mock drafts.

Yeah 4th round according to this

They’re saying he’s similar to Sherwood in size and physicality but more athletic
