We were horrible once teams figured out they didn’t have to respect our 3. We only shot 16 threes against Kentucky but they thought we could make them so we alley ooped them to death

Nobody is scared of our shooting. Pack the paint and we are done.

When the offense had that alley oop the team just felt unstoppable
Good times.
Good times.

Can you honestly say this team has been fun to watch since the Missouri game? We went 6-5 to finish the year. A team with any leadership that is as physically talented as this one doesn't falter like that.
The 2018-19 and 2019-20 were much more fun to watch and 100x tougher.

But weirdly tonight that wasn’t the issue. We had decent looks at the rim pretty much the whole game and just couldn’t finish

He tried to sign like 6 different 3 point shooters and one we already had transferred. And the best one we have and one of the best we’ve ever head couldn’t make one tonight
Jabari is our best 3 point shooter but he wasn’t enough to spread the floor.
And Powell transferred last season. I’m glad he tried to find someone else but trying doesn’t cut it.

this was still one hell of a season, especially by Auburn standards.
No, and this isn't Jeff Lebo and Tony Barbee anymore. Expectations are different now and this was a abject failure.

It’s been miserable since Missouri.

Jabari and kessler let us down tonight. End of story. They played terrible and we cant survive them both playing horrible games on the same night.

We have played incredibly bad tonight. In a single elimination tournament this stuff happens. The lack of patience on offense was really bad. Not sure exactly what our defense was for the game.
Great season. Disappointing post season. Over all really good year.

This team quit tonight. Pitiful.

Maybe kessler and Jabari feel bad about the seasons finish and decide to come back?

Turnovers. Sloppy shot selection. Missed FTs. Just not a tournament team. I haven’t seen many games this season but the ones I have seen the teams at least made their FTs.

No it hasn’t been a blast to watch the last 10 or so games but still a great season. Jared Harper is one of my favorite players to watch in any sport ever though so I’ll probably always be partial to those teams.
Interested to see what this roster looks like next year. Maybe next year we will be the seasoned veteran team punking some younger guards in the tourney. I could see Wendell getting a lot better. KD I’m not as sure. He might just be who he is but you never know

We have a single Freshman who plays significant minutes. STFO already, we are not a one and done team
For reference
21 Runner Up Gonzaga- Starting PG FR Jalen Suggs
19 Winner- Startint PG Freshman Kihei Clark
18 Winner- Nova Starting F Omari Spellman
16 Winme- Nova Starters Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges
15 Winner- Duke started FR Okafor / Winslow / Jones
14 Runner Up- Kentucky started 4 FR
None of those players were one and done aside from Anthony Davis which I already mentioned and you added the Duke guys.
Spellman was a redshirt freshman. Brunson and Bridges played three years at Villanova. Jalen Suggs didn’t win a title.
So you couldn’t name 5 guys either.

I mean that’s kind of a loaded sentence. This season was clearly a success by any measure. This game was clearly a failure by any measure. If we go on a three to five year run with early bounce outs to lower seeded teams in the tourney then yeah the groaning will naturally start to come (look at UT). But if you are examining a whole season based on what happens in a single elimination tournament you’re bound to be miserable

Embarrassing effort tonight on all fronts...
