Uhhh, Really? Surely we are above Mizzou, our recruiting has been beating theirs the last several years.

HS recruiting is a small part of the game now, transfers arguably matter more. Especially impact transfers that can quite literally change your entire season projection.

I don’t necessarily think this comment belongs in this thread but it’s what’s on my mind this morning.
The SEC overall seems really sub par this season from what I’ve seen, and we still somehow manage to suck the worst. That’s bad.

Portal is the great equalizer. It’s why we SHOULD be able to be more competitive in this league.
We had a decent defensive portal haul and as much as everybody bad mouths the defense they’ve improved.
The problem is we did jack to fill our holes on the oline and are paying dearly for it.
Defense can’t help they get left on an island and are pretty much beat down by the 4th qtr. they held Petrino to what 21 points yesterday?

I dont follow recruiting. Did we go after O line in the portal or were we THAT confident what we had was sufficient?

Which sucks, because we cleaned up at skill position all these receivers can catch it seems. Needed to go all in on offensive Linemen, I guess.

I will say, after listening to numerous portal/recruiting experts, they are trying to reevaluate the transfers because it’s based on their high school rankings. And what if a guy gained 5 inches, had a real weight room and got muscle… but he is still seen as a 2 star in most rankings.

What I'm hearing is that we're still top 32 in talent and can't beat BYU and liberty on a consistent basis....
