I fricking despise what cfb has become just so networks can make more money. Its absolutely despicable.
The dsor not being played yearly is just another shovel full of dirt being thrown on the coffin

If we go back to a century ago, in 10 - 20 years it will all break back into smaller, regional conferences.

Horrible for all involved if true

Who the frick are we going to play?
LSU going away. If this is true UGA going away…
We already play a Big 12 schedule next year. I was hoping we’d get moved East so we could at least trade LSU for other older rivalries like UF/UT but I guess not

If there’s any team I want Auburn to play every year other than Bama it’s Georgia. The NCAA sucks so bad. This super conference BS, all the commercials/less clock stoppages, and now screwing up perfectly good schedules.

Agreed. I hope that's not true but clearly Freeze knows something that we don't

This would suck arse. Auburn/Georgia is one of the great games of college football, regardless of records.
And if DSOR is going away, I'd assume that means TSIO goes away as well.
Frickin awful.

I guess we can goodbye to Bama/UTk…..Ole Miss/LSU……
Who does UGA keep? UF or UT? Those are both pretty fiery rivalries.
This shite sucks. Is it too late to kick the shitty B12 teams out?

If FSU and Clemson join, the Georgia Florida game may not be every year. And Tennessee has an in-state game already.

Frick we already lost Florida, and next year LSU, now Uga?
Frick that
Frick that

This probably means they are sticking with an 8 game conference slate.
Weak af.

Rivalry wise with SEC games, UF is #1 and AU is #2. I'm pretty sure we're #2 for AU too. If it's going away, it likely means SEC teams will only have one permanent opponent. I think that's the wrong call personally.

It’s pretty disgusting that the powers that be are in any way even considering a model that trashes a 130+ year rivalry.

especially since there is absolutely no reason for this whatsoever..
DSOR 100% should be played
Texas vs A&M 100% should be played
Alabama vs Tennessee 100% should be played
etc etc
a 1/7 model doesn’t work.. period
if it can’t be a 3/6 model..
then do a 2/6 model..
you play every team 6 times in 13 years instead of 6 times in 12 years.
Big fricking Deal
All of you pussies voting against a 3/6 or 2/6 schedule or whatever are to blame for this
actually.. ESPN is to blame for this too.. because if they would pay us for a 9th game, then we could bitch and complain until one of the other schools caved
TLDR: this might be an intentional leak in order to get ESPN to cave

honestly.. the solution until ESPN does pay is to put Oklahoma in the East, Texas in the West.. play your division (7) + 1 across
all important games are kept each year until ESPN agrees to pay
Rotate Texas and Oklahoma between the East and West the first 4 years so that all teams can play the 2 new teams home and home.

If this is true, frick the SEC for this.
The DSOR is one of the backbone rivalries in this conference and them (possibly) taking it away means that they don't give a frick about traditional rivalries
God damn it.

there is one more solution..
you could agree to play DSOR non-conference every other year until it is resolved
if Texas & Oklahoma aren’t perm rivals, this would 100% happen
how do I know? we played the game out of conference for the first 80 years or so?
