Some people can enjoy good things while they have them. You gotta learn how to spot when you're in the good ole days before it's too late and you're just left longing.

I would've been over the mf moon if we got to play in the natty and probably would've spent the night in jail if we won it. But we didn't. But we still had an insane run and this team put on shows for us time and time again this season. This is the greatest team we've ever had and that's what I'm gonna remember them as. Not final four losers. That's disrespectful to them.

Because we know what a crapshoot it is to even get to this point in postseason play. Single elimination game tournaments only prove who is playing better that day not the whole season (which we had a pretty damn good one).

^Voltaire could not have said this better.

We had a great season.

We played a bad half, but a lot of that goes to Florida executing at a high level.

Clayton was the best player on the court.

Live long enough and you look back on all the good seasons of football you had and realize you shoulda enjoyed them more. They’re not guaranteed, no matter how much if a hardo you want to be about winning

Personally, I’m trying to apply the same logic to bball. My college years were spent sitting in empty rows of the student section

We all wanted to win. No amount of grunting and knuckle dragging after the fact changes the outcome.

I wanted “us” to win, but I’m sure the players and coaches put more into this season than I did.

We won an SEC championship.
We made the final 4.

Last year was colossally more disappointing.

I can’t imagine the despair you felt after we got run by Yale.

This year was a success.

Even the blue blood programs view a final 4 season as a success. Insane to view this season as anything other than amazing. I wanted to win badly last night but this was a season you’ll look back on in 30 years and remember well

I agree but two things can be true. It can be a success but still a disappointment. Great team, great season but to be so close and play so poorly in the second half of a very winnable game is tough to swallow.

In the absolute salad days of AU basketball it took us 6 years to get back to a FF. Is Bruce even here 6 more years? Also, we lose pretty much this entire team and it will take some doing, and obviously time, to build another roster with this level of experience and ability.

No doubt but I find Scoper and some others perspective silly. What do they want us to do? I’d also add that our program has improved consistently since 2019. We are in a different place now. I suspect we will have another chance or two under Bruce before he retires and we are in a good spot to keep this program up beyond him

downvoted based on the title alone.
I guess Oregon Duck football fans must be thinking whats the use after being so close on several occasions.

This sounds more like a plea for help in your personal life.

Might I suggest a life coach to help right your ship, I heard they did wonders for Stidham8

It sounds like the fanbase can put things in perspective. That's a good trait to have.

Well then you only had to suffer a few times in a season where we won 32 games and 3 championships (Maui, SEC, South Regional)

Ride-or-die…otherwise GTFO.
