Kiffin would definitely come. He has no escape route from Mississippi except for us. Bama won’t be open for who knows how much longer UGa is locked up Florida has a new coach Tennessee Tamu Texas etc….

He isn’t leaving the SEC to fade into obscurity somewhere out west….

This is his only shot.

The only reason he wouldn’t take the job is if he knows through channels that Saban willl retire in the next year or so. Then he’ll wait for Bama

I hope you’re right. I feel like there are enough good and gettable candidates out there that there is no way we get an out-of-nowhere hire like we did when we got Chizik and Harsin, especially with us getting a jump start on this. And most of the names that have been floated out there seem like good hires to me.

LOL. Go back and read. You brought him up. Again. Not me. Always Gus. All the time

IT would be a solid hire for sure. I am not as confident as you but I hope I am wrong

Looks like Kiffin is the #1 target and Prime is the wild card.

Yup

I also think Freeze must have gotten pushback therefore getting a new deal @ Liberty.

You can bet the back channels through agents have been going on for quite a while.

You compared Freeze to Gus, so you did bring him up. But carry on, man. Keep bashing the program, if it makes you feel better. I’ll just continue being naïve that maybe they’ll get it right this time.

I think it is the best two choices of what is available. Lane would be fun and that is a big part of it.

Prime would be crazy. Im kinda ready for that

I'm with you on this.
Tried to make a point last week that I think we're very naive to think we can just call Kiffin and he'd come running. I could see it happening, but it also wouldn't surprise me one bit for him to stay put and get a nice raise.

Kiffin wants more than OM. The question is would Auburn fit his vision.

Ummm fellas this isn’t an opinion or conversation thread. Just a thread for everyone to post their top 5 without bullshite commentary about why someone’s picks are good or bad. Some on here don’t want everything they say to turn into a pissing contest. We don’t need another of those.

Thanks for understanding and I’m all for debate just not this thread please

All i'm saying is that Freeze and Urban are objectively bad human beings. Years of examples exist to support that statement. I wouldnt let my kid anywhere near a program they were in charge of.

1. Deion Sanders
Gap
2. Lane Kiffin
Big Gap
3. Hugh Freeze
Bigger Gap
4. Matt Rhule
Biggest Gap
5. Dell McGee

I look at Deion and Lane as actually very similar but different. Both will have low floors but in different ways. Deions ceiling will be capped on if he can coach, Lanes will be on if he can recruit with Bama and UGA.

You know Deion is going to have the players, he’ll recruit better than when we had Chizik here. Question will be, can he coach or get enough good coaches in due to his big personality?

Lane will be the best offensively coached team we’ve probably had since early Malzahn and his big question mark will be can get recruit the elite kids enough to pull from Bama and UGA.

I think Deion is the guy to get given where the program is. He’ll get recruits immediately and if he fails the program will at least have the players. He’s going to bring a lot of personality but Bruce Pearl does the exact same!
