I suspect a liberal on Auburn's campus will find a more welcoming and accommodating atmosphere than a conservative on a liberal campus like Berkely or similar...

Plainsman has been like this for a while. They had a very similar editorial when Trump won in 2016. Ultimately, when you have journalism majors, who will more than likely be very left leaning students, surrounded by very overwhelmingly conservative student body, they are going to use this as their outlet to vent.

I love you Third man. But everybody is not out to get you man.

Absolutely, as a group, the most judgmental, biased segment of our population, is the modern progressive. Everything I see, hear, and read tells me that if I do not subscribe to their groupthink, then I am evil and must be shunned and disregarded.

Back to the article, not sure how any one is surprised by an article like this. One gets published every year or so.

There was a thread on poliboard about the kids rolling toomers for the election. Someone posted all the SEC schools and how they voted (Auburn was the second most conservative).
Most conservative, voting over 70% Trump....Texas A and M.
Least conservative, almost 70% Harris....Ole Miss.

Auburn Plainsman has always been a nest of Lefty nonsense.
Lefty columnist Cynthia Tucker went to Auburn. Back in the 70's.
It's nothing new.

Who pissed in your Cocoa Puffs this morning? It was a simple question about when Auburn students have become so thin skinned, especially the ones who write for The Plainsman. It just happened to involve an editorial on the election.

Society as a whole is thinned skin and entitled and think their voice is prominent enough to deserve a platform to make their voice reach out there. The podcasting business should be huge because the sheer numbers of nobodies sharing their run-of-the mill opinion is oversaturated. Just like the dumb QB takes on here. Only difference here is some nobody got a job for the school newspaper and she is using Auburn demographics to rant because Trump won. We saw the video of the guy getting beaten for defacing the Auburn statue and nobody praised that "hero" as he was more cringe than the reject that defaced the property.

You better watch your mouth talking about Blake like that or you're next

She should console herself in the fact that many things in Auburn remain constant and are unlikely to ever change. For instance, The Plainsman still sucks.
