I was there for the 2009 outback bowl. It was wet and cold and crazy. Won 3 times. Tried to catch a cab to Tampa. Took 3 hours.

What an abortion of an idea that was.

I was at the 2009 Outback Bowl. It was fricking miserable. It’s not supposed to be that cold in Florida.

I’ve had fun at our Bham Bowl games. We use it as a staycation. Hotel downtown, bars and dinner where we normally wouldn’t go, walk to the game. It’s nice.

Yea, we were not prepared to be wet and that cold. Plus that game really was stressful.

Hoping for Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. Lots of Auburn fans in this area, and I’d like to take my boys.

P.S. if anyone is coming for the baseball tourney in January, I’d love to meet you.

Gator Bowl Projected matchup: Auburn vs. Georgia Tech

Auburn is a strong possibility here after Gator Bowl representatives were in Nashville for Auburn's win over Vanderbilt.

Following Saturday's beatdown of Arkansas on the road, the Tigers have a strong shot at finishing 7-5 under Hugh Freeze and will likely be battling Tennessee for the SEC's spot in this game.

Tennessee played in the Gator Bowl to end the 2019 season while Auburn hasn't played in the Gator Bowl since 1974.

Playing Georgia Tech should be more regular during season like the old days.

I was there too. Not sure if my seats were under covered but I think I moved to the covered seats. I had a great time at that bowl game. New Year’s Eve the night before was a blast and also the night we learned that Cam Newton was coming to Auburn.

And the 09 game’s rain had nothing on the 96 Outback bowl. That was a monsoon and a beat down by Penn State.

You have never been at all? Or just never been to a game there?

If never visited either should be destination spots for anyone in the southeast. Both are great, clean, and fun. Jacksonville you have the river walk area. Nashville you have Broadway and the Gulch, plus if the wife is into shopping you have high end at Greenhills or outlet out at Opry Mills.

I’m sure jville can give more info on Jacksonville it has been a few years since I’ve been. Since my son lives in Tampa if I get going that way I end up in Tampa

windy, cold, wet conditions with Patrick Nix was preferable to running the ball with Stephen Davis.

I was a teen, but I remember thinking Davis was utilized wrong for his college career!

It proved my point to see how he flourished in the NFL!

You may get your wish. I've seen more than one prediction for the Music City Bowl in Nashville. Against...f'ing Wisconsin...Can we please play any other teams besides Wisky, Penn St, or Northwestern for a bowl game for the nest 20 years? It's DejaVu every postseason almost.

frick, I was giddy we got to play Purdue a few years ago, even though they're just another B1G school for us to play in a meaningless bowl. Hell, the Houston game had me pumped to play any team NOT in the B1G but we had a shitty team so I couldn't even get too hyped.
