Ashford is already beaten out. He needs to do the Plumlee route.

Give WR a go for PT and then play QB elsewhere next year.

He has too much raw talent.

And the "hes got a package stuff" can easily still be used.

Surprises:
Justin Rogers - thought he'd get the starting nod
Jalen Mcleod - For hearing so much it's weird that he is 3rd string but maybe he's going to be a 3rd down pass rush specialist
Linebacker - We may still be struggling here... wish Tolan were around
Keldric Faulk - bet he gets a lot of reps
Oline - guess they swapped GB back to starting RT and were just working on some different roles for people if they need to switch it up

Ashford - Should start thinking NFL. Wide receiver if he can catch. At 6-3 and 218 with his athleticism, the guy could have a legit future at WR. Can still have QB packages. I didn't realize he's that big... I mean the guy could even go become a flex safety/outside backer (with a little bulk).

He’s been injured all of fall camp, right? So it makes sense.

An article I read also said a lot of the third team are guys that have been injured the majority of camp.

Steiner at 3rd string as a Sr with a good amount of experience...oof.

He just never got it.

I remember watching Ashford play in person against Mtn Brook in 2018 at the Met and thought he was going to be special once he cleaned up his emotional aspects which I don’t think ever happened. He netted 5 total TDs (3 pass and 2 runs). Passing TDs were all game breaking plays…. but he was throwing to Pickens who was a man child and a AU verbal at the time.

If Steiner could play in a phone both and the opponents run dive left dive right he would be great.

Hate it for the kid but glad to see coaches not just throw the obvious guys out there

Rogers was the one that showed up out of shape? Maybe he gets in shape and makes an impact later in the year?

Robbie‘a greatest strength is also a major knock on him being a QB. He’s too hurt to throw constantly. Throwing is an awkward motion for shoulder, arms, abs, knees and feet. If he could just run, catch, or hit, he could be a stud as a WR or safety

Yes it was him. Looking at the depth chart released though, he's only 8lbs heavier than Jones. I don't think weight will be what keeps Rogers from getting that spot.. either he's good enough or he won't be.

I don’t know if I’ve ever been this unfamiliar with an Auburn roster.

18 of the 44 2 deep on offense and defense are year 1 transfers.

7 of the 44 2 deep are 2nd year transfers.

If I counted correctly

Out of shape? Have you seen the gut on the guy. At 340+ pounds, if he lost that gut he might be playing safety. Its enormous.

And friggin inexcusable as a NIL transfer, we paid money big money for this fat fck, "to play himself into shape". How about we hold the checks til he is in shape.

Im certain Freeze has had a talk with him. You dont think all NFL scouts are looking at you and saying, "is this what happens as soon as we draft him and he gets a contract, he turns into a slob".

And no this isnt harsh, its a business now, you wanted it, you got it, now act like its a business.

Understand Travis, the JC fella showed up overweight as well, though not as bad as Rogers, must have been eating with him and Rogers was hogging the lion's portion of the food.

Weakest part of the team and this is what we are relying on.

This. Britton can play all positions on the line including center. Lew can play guard or center, same with Johnson. Muskrat can play tackle or guard. Miller will be the "third" tackle on either side.

I think what you saw the last few practices was what will happen if Stutts struggles, Britton moves into his spot and Miller takes right tackle.

Robby has an oblique injury, and we know he'll be in for run possible plays
