I overall think Travis Hunter has the highest upside in the college game for the next level. Great player.

But… I’m tired of hearing about this damn hit and how dirty it was. You see hits like this every weekend. Hell even worse hits where the defender launch helmet first into players. Running back and QBs get roughed up at the bottom of the pile on almost every play.

Some one explain to my why I should be outraged about this late shoulder hit to the midsection. Got ESPN spewin there was a bounty on Hunter and the CSU player should be suspended. Like I said on games of no rooting interest for me I see hits later and much worse every weekend. So some one convince me why I don’t see it like the talking heads about how bad this situation is cause I just don’t see.

Defender wasn’t even looking for the ball, it was clear what he was trying to do. Fittingly he got his ankles broken to give up the tying TD on the 98 yd drive at the end of the game.

ESPN is just a big circle jerk and they pump the same stories over and over and over, talking about the story itself then “reporting” on what other people have said about the story as if that’s news too. Just do yourself a favor and turn it off

Remember this hit from the Florida Safety against Oklahoma in the BCS National Championship?

On the dirty side of hits? Yes

Deserving of so much coverage? No

I'm with you. If it was against any other WR in college football this year, it wouldn't get near as much coverage as it's getting for Deion and Colorado's Cinderella story. It honestly didn't look like a hit hard enough to lacerate his liver. I thought he just had the wind knocked out of him at the moment.

Agreed. Probably somewhere in the top 25 dirtiest most malicious hits I’ve seen. Anytime you hit somebody like that after a dead ball and then you stand over them and talk shite it’s clear what you were trying to do. But I don’t think any of those other top 25 hits I’ve seen existed in media coverage after a 24 hour cycle.

Well when you trash talk the opposing team then you have to expect something may happen. I'm not saying I agree with it or it should've happened. I'm saying you need to expect something when you run your mouth so much.

I guess but it's not like it's an invitation for dead ball violence.

From what I understand it was chirpy and testy before the game even started.

Sounds like a great rivalry football game from twenty years ago if you ask me.

Hits like that happen all the time in CFB, and Colorado fans are acting Charmin soft. Guy was running at full speed towards the play….and yes he hit him late, but people are acting like it’s the first time that has EVER happened in that situation.

Also, how in the frick did that hit lacerate his liver? I could see if he hit him low but he hits him in the shoulder. I’m calling BS on that.

A defense like UGA would break them in two and CO fans would be calling for warrants for their arrest.

Dirty hit? Yes. Targeted and on purpose? Yes. Top 25 most malicious hits? Absolutely not. Y’all have wiped a lot of football from your brains

I think any fan base would be angry if their star player was injured for several games because of a late hit. And I didn’t think the hit was bad, just late.

This right here

It was unnecessary, a little dirty and flag worthy. It was unfortunate that Hunter was injured but its football, things happen. Any late hit out of bounds or targeting hit could do the same

imo it wasn't that bad, it was right on the border of being during the play and on the field, there have been much worse, and hit in much worse places. Maybe he was a bit malicious in the process, but it hardly deserves the coverage it's received. It's only because Prime is the thing to talk about in college right now.

Watch the defenders left arm on the hit and what he does. Cheap and dirty as hell and meant to injure someone. I don’t want basketball on grass, but that’s dirty.
If it was our player taking that it everyone would be screaming bloody murder.

But he was asking for it, amirite fellas?

Well he was shite talking to all the CSU players during warmups rather than just focusing on his own team…..sometimes you frick around, and you find out.
