He is from the Auburn class of 56.
You all would have really like my dad. He was an Auburn man through and through.
He became a Navy fighter pilot after graduating from AU with an engineering degree and flew off aircraft carriers in an A4.
Going to his first civilian job interview with Johnson Controls in CoCoa beach FL he errantly went into the Martin Marrietta office where they hired him on the spot and began a long and successful career where he was 1 spot away from CEO upon retirement.
He worked on several important space programs and defense system programs. He was the guy that they sent into a struggling division and he would turn it into the most productive division in the company.
He was a positive, honest, and people person building man. He always had a great story to tell. He grew up in Braselton, GA.
He was the one that introduced me to the world of Auburn and I will never forget my first game he took me to and being a part of Tiger Walk, sharing the history of Auburn as we walk and drove the campus of Auburn. I became all Auburn because of him. I didn’t end up attending Auburn for school but always envied you who did, but my love and loyalty to Auburn is strong and true because of my dad. He was a big time booster and I will always be grateful for the Orange seats under the shade for games he had season tickets for. Also the food and drinks readily available to eat in the section. Haha
I remember being in Auburn for a Uga game and my brother and I going to golf. When we finished and we’re heading to our car there was Bo Jackson putting on his shoes at the back of his vehicle. It was fun meeting Him and shaking his hand. My dad loved that we met one of the Auburn greats.
Yes he’s a much better person than I could ever be. This is not the best way to start 2022 but his health was in decline and this is not a surprise but it is still a difficult loss. I wish you all could have known him. He really was a special man who did things right.
War Damn Eagle Dad!

Prayers indeed. May God welcome him with open arms ...I believe the most beautiful skies were designed by God personally ...at sunset when the sky turns orange and blue.
