I vote to have a basketball thread that will get updated.
Is it so hard to update it? Gene’s thread literally serves no purpose.

I’m mainly just a lurker but I don’t understand why we can’t just leave the original while unpinning it. That way the memory of the thread isn’t lost and can still posted in

I vote to just leave it alone. It will work itself out. Not like we have tons of quality post that they are taking the space of anyway lol.

It doesn’t matter to me. If I wouldn’t have created the new thread the bitching wouldn’t even be happening. People on the old thread are as asking for a new thread so I just went ahead and created a new one. So whatever. Like I said anyone other then me creating it would be no problem so bitching about a new thread is about they can get on me. Most have learned not to debate me just take useless potshots.

In coach's defense, it would be nice to have an active poster to update the thread with schedule, next game, recruiting info, etc. Gene doesn't post here that much anymore.

Why not just turn the old thread into a basketball recruiting thread (renaming the thread title), and have the new thread for the in season stuff?
That way the old thread serves a useful purpose and gets some traffic while being around for nostalgia purposes as well, and we get a thread with regular updating for our in season thread.
Everybody wins that way, and it's honestly hard to find basketball recruiting info with both mixed together sometimes anyway.
