I just feel like I am going to be disappointed because Auburn is dumb as frick sometimes

There are some unreasonable people on Auburn message boards right now. I seriously just read that if we hire Patterson "we might as well not have fired Chizik."

Is it just me or is the search moving very slowly? I would've thought a serious candidate would have risen by now...

According to something2005 the decision has been made and Petrino is the guy. He sits in a cubicle at the Athletic dept.

No. In coaching searches, you don't really know anything until right before the announcement is made especially when you're looking for a head coach. And right after the firing all the pay sites said most likely 7-10 days. Its been less than a week.

I happened to meet Chris Davis' dad tonight. According to him the players believe Petrino is the next HC. AU is just waiting until after the SECCG to announce it. TIFWIW, but the guy was freely offering up information.
Also just a couple quick bits of info, Chris Davis' dad used to play for the Raiders. He also coached Chris and Cassanova in hs. Again TIFWIW

Why would they wait until aftyer the game to announce it. If they have their man I would announce it around 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday.
