He took Minnesota to the NCAA tournament three times in his six years there. How is that underwhelming at a place like Minnesota?

They look really dumb canning him for Pitino's son.
Malzahn, man. Dude brought in JF3 to be his quarterback this season, but he's apparently showing interest in a transfer who plays a completely different style?

If I wasn't sure if Malzahn knew how hot his seat was heading into this season, I know now. Dude is literally looking for anything decent at QB to keep his job.

BC went 0-18 in the ACC this year. If we lose to them in year 3 of Pearl, something is terribly wrong

We went to Missouri and got blown out this year with Canty still around.

AU basketball isn't in a place where any win can be assumed.
Memphis has always scared me when it comes to Pearl because there have seemingly been rumors they're ready to get rid of Pastner ever since we hired Pearl. And if Memphis does finally can Pastner, I think Pearl would take that job in a heartbeat.

Other than that, I'm not worried about him leaving. I don't think it's fair to starting judging Pearl's time here until Year 4, but I do want to see some significant improvement next year to be encouraged with the talent he's going to have to work with.

Pearl will be fine. Don't care about baseball, malzahn will get it turned around as well.

1. True
2. A lot of people care about baseball
3. You sure about that?

The man gets paid top 3-4 in the conference. This is a legitimate discussion.

No it's not.

Now if Auburn's losing like this at the end of Pearl's fourth year? Absolutely. But he's not even through his second year of one of biggest rebuilding jobs in men's Division I college hoops with a roster that was ravaged by injuries even before Canty bowed out.

Pearl's a really good coach. He's not a miracle worker.

In that case, I'd trade NCM for Ben Davis in a heartbeat.
Only recruit I'll "melt" over tomorrow is Derrick Brown. While I'd love to have him, I'm not too concerned with a WR considering there's no guarantee we've got a QB that could even get the ball to Calvin Johnson next year.

For any of you that haven't figured it out by now, games in this league are won and lost at the LOS. We need all the DL we can get.

Bowers is at least athletic and plays some pretty good defense.

Let me stop you right there: To suggest anybody on this team plays any semblance of defense is an insult to that end of the floor.

My God, it's embarrassing.

And we are countering w/ Sean is our QB when healthy. lol

Yep.

I'd love to have a WR with NCM's abilities, but if we don't find a QB that can throw competent forward passes, it's not going to matter.

DC being able to convince any receiver, let alone really talented ones, to come here is a borderline miracle right now.

reports by national guys Mike Farrel & Derek Tyson are real. The battle for Nate is apparently much closer than most think. It appears to be a genuine toss up right now. A source close to NCM is saying it's 50/50. Apparently UNC is pounding the AU staff is gone if we don't win big next year angle.

Smart move by UNC. It's really the only card they have to play, but it's a damn good one. That and the fact that we're bringing in a running QB to try to save Gus' offense are points I'd be hammering for the next 24 hours if I were UNC.

I'm just glad Dameyune Craig's on our side recruiting him. I think that's too much for anyone to overcome.

Guys, I'm going outside.

... But as of now, I haven't really decided if I'm going outside.

He gone. Again

I wish we could afford to pull this kid's scholarship, but unfortunately, he's got all the leverage because we desperately need DL.

Visiting the school you're not committed to two weekends in a row right before NSD? I realize these are 17- and 18-year-olds that don't always have the greatest thought process, but he could at least have the decency to decommit before going back to UGA again.
Anybody who thinks LSU is a one-trick pony with Simmons isn't paying attention.

Go watch a replay of last night's Ole Miss game if you still don't understand.

Depth or not, our defense has been inexcusable this season. Pearl REALLY needs to get this fixed next year.
Really hoped to see some progress this year, but it's not going to happen. Just hope all of our current freshmen stay on board.

We beat Clemson next year.

In which one of my dreams will this happen?
Dude just needs to redshirt and get done what he needs to get done in order to be eligible next year.

Even if he were to somehow get eligible this year, it would be, what, February or March after sitting out for basically a year? We're going to suck anyway. Wait until we actually have a decent chance to do something next year.

I just wish we would play defense like we give a shite.

This really is my biggest pet peeve that Bruce has to get corrected. Teams just do whatever they want on offense.

This is one of the top coaches in the country taking his 4th year veteran team that's played together for a very long time on the road against a team that has an empty and injury depleted roster.

That's got nothing to do with not running any semblance of an offense, playing no defense and turning it over 15 times. They're faceguarding us 98% of the time, and we've gone backdoor ONE time.

Yeah, South Carolina is deeper, more experienced and should beat us. But they were up 18 at one point that half. They're not THAT good.
