Because he can't really run and he struggled defensively for UNC. Obviously he's talented enough to where if he wants to come you take him but I think he will see Auburn would be a square peg, round hole situation.

He's kind of a more skilled Wiley to me. I trust that Bruce could make him fit and work in the offense, but I'm not sold that he's the best fit for our offense especially considering our primary need right now is guards that can score.

I'd agree on first 3 years of Wiley, but Wiley was an elite D Rebounder and rim protector his final season with us

I agree from a defensive perspective. I think he's already better on offense than Wiley, but that's not a high bar

If the ball doesn't clang off his hands or ricochet back out to the circle then he IS better than Wiley.... :)

I saw some chatter one of our baseball boards that Kessler talked to Powell about AU and that’s why the Zags lead for him at the moment.

That's true, but man his twitter post was written like every line supporting his not coming back with only 1 line saying that he could pull his name out..

If he actually thought he was mostly coming back I thought he would just announce it and not say anything else...

...But we will see what that means before mid June. A long wait for sure. :)

I think Bryce and Harper had similarly worded announcements and came back.

It would kind of weird if he prefaced every sentence by saying he may come back

Sooooo funny.

It was more of how much he spent writing his thank yous...which was odd, if he had little chance of being drafted where he liked enough to go pro.

And since he pushed to graduate early from HS, it may his ultimate goal was to be in the NBA as early as possible.
A booster close to the program also thinks we need to brace for him going pro...but who knows.

It’s definitely possible, especially with Jabari coming back. I think Thor has some insane NBA potential and we were starting to see flashes of it. I think another year would have him in a great spot to get drafted, but there’s also a chance that a team falls in love with his potential.
