Yeah, Cooper is probably gone. He definitely has parts of his game that aren't NBA ready and I think another year, he has a chance of being lottery pick.

I think Cooper and Powell together would have made this team. I think those 2 on the court would have reduced the overall pressure on everyone, including them. I think Flannigan might have benefited the most.

You really think so? I don't at all. I think it plays out about the same. As bad as Jamal is on defense he's an elite stopper compared to Cooper.

We lost bc of 3 things:

Too many TOs in close games
Not enough consistent defense
And could not generate a consistent offense without Cooper at PG the whole year

We would have been closer to .500 if we had had Cooper and Powell all year, as those 3 things above would not have been as big a weakness as it showed in all those games we lost by less than 6 points.

To think we would have lost about the same with those 2 guards, is not seeing how hard it is to win SEC games without a decent PG. We didn't have one but for 12 games, and he was a true Freshman, and needed all the time to learn and adapt in his role.

No one predicted a losing record overall or in conference. I can't remember off the top of my head anyone predicting lower then 6th in conference. We will finish what 10th or 11th.

Those predictions assumed Powell and Coop would play the season.

Didn't we finish 13-14?

I meant in SEC play. We were 7-11 so would need to flip 2 games.

I’m not sure Scoot is thinking of being a reclassification player. Unless things have changed in the past few weeks. So he isn’t the solution if Cooper leaves.

It’s more hopeful wishing but seeing as he hasn’t said anything regarding it, it’s safe to say no one knows whether he’s thinking about it or not.

No Cooper
No Powell
No Fans
No Post Season
No easy schedule (Gonzaga and Baylor)
Youngest team in NCAA power 5

Breaks happen every season, but we won 2 of our last three for momentum going to next year.
