“Wouldn't doubt Shariffe skips this season and either goes to the G league or just trains for the draft now.”

Sharife isn’t good enough yet for G league.

He was going to stay here at least 2 years. His size is a question until he can go against the best in college.

GD it

This makes the last year’s cancellation hurt even more

Also, I have mixed feelings on this.

If Kansas and others fight it and get their punishment reduced then our decision was week.

If they get hammered then it is a good decision since w such a young team and our best players freshmen then we would of been a bubble team or worse.
By taking punishment now we can go for the NCAAs w Cooper, Thor and Powell more experienced and w Jabari coming in an even better team than this years team.

Our Head of Compliance has ties to the NCAA. This isn't a misstep.

The one we missed due to Covid should be the one this gets applied to. This is shite.

There’s a solid chance that this team doesn’t make the tourney, if it’s even held.

I think we make it but who really knows. It’s a young team that’s going to get better this season and really make noise next year. It does suck. Person’s private financial issues really fricked us on this

I don’t hate this decision. This team will be right on the cutoff anyway and is unlikely to make a deep run. This should guarantee next year’s team will have every chance to make the tourney, and next year’s team could be very good.

I hate it. I'm ready for our compliance to grow some balls and tell the ncaa to frick off because of all the self imposed shite we already did

2020 fricking sucks.

This self-imposed ban means we'll probably go 25-5 and win the conference.

Leave us wondering what could have been...

Not the players

Yeah, I'm going to need to see some other programs, especially Kansas and LSU get hit hard or the NCAA really has to burn to the ground.

That’s what I’m saying. We already held out Wiley and Purifoy for a year. Feels like we’ve served our punishment

I can live with the no postseason in practice, especially in this environment

But I hate rolling over for a corrupt entity and handing victories to piece of shite writers who've slandered Auburn basketball

Good for Auburn and the class we signed, especially the #1 recruit in Auburn bball history

Bad for the guys that are playing this season. But it was going to suck anyways because of covid

Those were punishments for the individual players, not the university. What we’re seeing now is AUs (self-inflicted) punishment.

The one thing that I wonder is if we going to get to this point and self impose this punishment then did we waste a basketball year by not playing Wiley and Purifoy for 1 year?
Or would the ncaa have made us forfeit all those games they would have played in?
