I just assume we based this on the Oklahoma St thing, and knew we were probably going to get the same undeserved bs ban. And if you know it's probably coming, better to do it now during a pandemic instead of waiting on the pieces of shite to actually make a decision. I swear to god though, if Kansas escapes it all has to come down. They can never penalize another school for anything.

frick our compliance. I'd rather get burned and go down swinging. Bama does nothing and gets nothing with their own assistant coach on board with the scheme

Yes. I'm angry

Frick the NCAA. The Big 5 conferences would be better without them. All they do is stick their noses in areas they shouldn’t be. Let the conferences deal with it. If 4 conferences agree a team in the 5th conference broke some rule then let them dish out the punishment knowing that it might be a team in their conference next. Plus keep all the damn money and not have to give the NCAA money each year and them profit from the licensing of products.

Go rogue and take over our own league. SEC should start and opt out of the NCAA. Come up with their own simplified rules and only play each other if the other teams hold out in other conferences. The big money in football will always be in the SEC. I’d say our basketball can stay in the top 3 as well and baseball we are clearly number 1

That’s why he waited until now - maybe he saw how shitty we were without Shariffe Cooper and said “ nah, frick it.”
Between that and Covid, the season was probably a wash anyways. Otherwise, why wouldn’t you wait until the Oky State appeal is finished to see what happens?

You do realize the NCAA made $1 billion in profits for 2016-2017? And 873 million in 2018-2019. But I’m the idiot for wanting to keep the dough. Makes sense

My question about Cooper in his eligibility is it because his dad became Okoro’s agent. If so why would that affect Cooper?

Ok little bitch I’ll play along. What makes me an idiot. Anything you want to discuss guarantee you I would embarrass you on. Any subject. Engineering go for it, medical try it, technology I’m down, sports lol I think you know better. I’m not well liked here I get it. Don’t give a flying flip. It’s entertainment dumbass. Don’t like my takes then ignore them. But the personal attacks show your complete ignorance. So keep being my little bitch and following me around commenting with no rebuttal. I’ll keep laughing in your face.

So you’re good with money that should and could be going to the schools being pocketed by the guys in suits that do nothing. Makes sense to someone like you I guess.

Why exactly is your defense of the NCAA or why we have a post season ban? Wasn’t Bama doing the same thing. The player sat 1 game. They got 3 years probation with no limitations. We sat both players 1 for a year another for a year plus. Didn’t sign any players that year. Limited recruiting. So if the story we all know is correct then all parties should pay the same price. Yet it doesn’t happen. Oh praise be to our over lords at the NCAA.

Good for Auburn and the class we signed, especially the #1 recruit in Auburn bball history Bad for the guys that are playing this season. But it was going to suck anyways because of covid

I think this is most likely how Bruce sold it to the players.

sounds like Bruce knows we weren't making the tournament anyway tbh

A tournament without fans and players most likely sitting out from testing positive. It's not a bad year to impose this ban.

Those were punishments for the individual players, not the university

Them sitting out hurt the university.

This sucks. It’s the principle of it. Someone brought up the UNC scandal and I highly encourage everyone to research that because there’s no way we did anything close to that.

Bitch move by AU.

I guess it would depend on if they talked to the players about that before they signed them. Id feel a little slighted if I was recruited to a team, signed and the day after they did a self imposed ban and never talked to me about it

Especially a #1 player.

Hopefully, that didnt happen

Frick the NCAA

Historically, going back to the 1950s, they have had the most unjust, unfair, and inequitable enforcement division in the history of bureaucracies.

Steve Spurrier said it best. “Alabama is doing some shady things. So the NCAA will take away 20 scholarships from Ball State.”

Or something like that.

The best way to describe them is inconsistent.

Those 2 recruits we just signed aren’t bound to their signatures. If we weren’t forthcoming with the information that would be our screw up.

Exactly.

Now maybe Cooper, Powell, Thor, Cardwell, and Moore feel differently but I think Pearl and our compliance department genuinely thought the worst was behind us when we signed those guys.

I think it might be more accurate to say they put their thumb on the scale, to the benefit of their money makers.

All these guys probably knew this was coming a while ago.
