Chuma got a Combine Invite meaning teams consider him a likely draft prospect.
How much of the combine is non-physical evaluation that he could participate in?

Exactly. People are underestimating the difficulty of getting there.

quote:Probable round2, he would rehab with a team on the injured list, but get paid.
Question is if a team is willing to guarantee a RD1 pick, especially post injury.

If not 1st, he should return.

Hope he goes to the Spurs. Rudy Gay has a similar game to Okeke, could be a good mentor for him

Hooks says on a Hokanson tweet that it’s likely we keep Ira Bowman.
We gonna draw the Ira out of errrrrybody.

Jason Caldwell says there is chatter that Brandon Boston (#9 recruit in 2020) is wanting to transfer to McEachern to play with Shariffe his senior year. Has to be a good thing.

Is there talk that Harper could come back? After he announced all the beat guys immediately said 0% chance he returns, but now everything by them is written like "if Okeke and Harper remain in the draft..."

Hopefully for us and not for Kentucky

As for your question, I think the only question is regarding Okeke’s draft grade. If I had to make a generally vague supposition it would be first round he goes, second he stays.

I realize all of us are guessing, but after reading different reports from so many sources, I think Okeke still may go, if picked in the 2nd round.
He'll get picked high in the 2nd, and could get 2-3 years guaranteed for anything from 2 mil to 6 mil. At a minimum he will earn $500,000 guaranteed each year.
The team that picks realizes he will be rehabbing most of his first year, so they are taking somewhat of a gamble.
I think he is just ready to go pro...

DOTHAN, Alabama—For each of the last two seasons Coach Bruce Pearl and the Auburn basketball Tigers have taken transfers in Samir Doughty and Jamal Johnson to help the program following a year of watching from the sidelines. This time around Pearl said the Tigers may seek more immediate help from a grad transfer who could play for the 2019-20 season.
Auburn has already had an official visit from Arkansas-Little Rock transfer Rayjon Tuckerand the guard is someone the Tigers are very interested in after he averaging 20.3 points per game and 6.7 rebounds this past season

Looking to replace the scoring of senior guard Bryce Brown and potentially that of point guard Jared Harper as well with the junior declaring for the NBA Draft, Pearl said with a spot potentially open going after a one-year player is something the Tigers will will consider this offseason. Another Auburn player, sophomore forward Chuma Okeke, has also declared for the NBA Draft, but may return for his junior year.
“You've got to put those kids in positions to be successful in a sense that you've got to have a real need,” Pearl said of grad transfers. “It's their last go-around and so what you typically will do is you'll look for places on your roster where you're losing a lot and you need to be able to replace.
Auburn's head coach added, "The other issue is you have also got to be mindful of the guys that are returning, knowing that they have paid their dues and making sure they know you still have the confidence in them to be right and ready.”

Bruce mentioned that Auburn is the only team in the SEC without a current NBA player. Now Auburn has 3 invited to the combine this year. Kinda made it sound like Harper is hopeful for a 2nd round pick and if not he would come back.
He said Chuma would not be playing again until Nov-Dec if he came back and would take some time to back to his postseason form. Made it sound like he was gone though.
Lots of good things about Wiley. Getting Wiley at Auburn helped steer recruits to come. Wiley was hurt all year and he thinks this next year will be big for Wiley.

Elite Eights and Final Fours may be routine if we get the talent. Bruce has shown that he can coach his arse off and he obviously cares for his players. The recruits see that.
Final 4’s aren’t routine for Duke, bruh. Sweet 16’s are something that can become a regular occurrence though. That’s statue worthy at AU.
Not trying to be a dick, but our fans getting stupid shite in their head like “regular appearances in Final 4 Elite 8 “ is the kind of shite that will permeate through a novice fanbase via forums and that leads to ridiculous expectations and running of a coach.
