Seriously believe he should be be getting at least 10 touches a game. He’s electric with a pop. He showed patience & good vision as well. Reminds me of a meaner Noel Devine. Can’t imagine if gets up to like 180-185 with his frame.

Is he part of the "Hurricane and Earthquake" duo?

No. He’ll be a part of the apocalypse for other teams if he gets more carries.

Shaun Shivers and Anthony Schwartz are the future. They'll go down as an all-time legendary duo.

I’ve been saying his name like Shiv-ers this entire time because that’s how it’s spelled, but the announcers keep saying Shy-vers. Anyone know the correct pronunciation?

The announcers have the correct pronunciations next to the players names and numbers on the rosters they have sitting in front of them. Now that Uncle Verne is retired you can probably trust the announcers if you hear them say a players name a certain way that you weren't sure about before.

More like 20. Shivers is a beast. His legs look like they belong on a 200 lb back.

Id like to hold out judgement till we see him run against a real defense. Same with the other guys

No need to jump to conclusions yet...

But I hope some of these guys can get it done

I must be old because the obvious comparison is Lionel ‘Little Train’ James

No doubt. My mom started texting me in the second half, all excited, saying we have ourselves a new Little Train!

Lionel James is one of my all time favorite players, the captain of our 1983 uncrowded national champs. He was the heart and soul of that team. As Pat Dye once said, #6 in your program #1 in your hearts.

We gotta see Shivers against an SEC D like LSU, but as I've said before here and on the rant, I'm excited about him. Strangers down here (I'm just a couple of mile from Hollywood FL), have actually come up to me to tell me about Shivers at random places over the past year when they realize I'm an Aubie.

It's been 35 years since the great lil train cleared a path for Bo Jackson and led us to the uncrowded 83 title and even my mom is excited about Shivers.

My only judgement on on their running abilities based on that game is this. I am pleased with what I saw, and the speed of Shivers and Schwartz is exciting, and I am hopeful they can be big contributors to our offense moving forward.

Here is my biggest negative judgement of our running backs. I am not liking Boobee wanting to call himself and Kam Martin "Hurricane and Earthquake" just to be unique. The announcers had a small segment discussing this and the two nouns do not flow together at all or sound intimidating.
