Looks like Travis Williams is probably landing at Miami as LB coach.

If true, that would give them a former AU player coaching all three levels of the defense.

DL: Jess Simpson
LB: TWill
DB: TRob

I don't remember him either.

Played under Dye. Was a GA for both Dye and Bowden.

Was the HC at Buford (GA) HS for a while. Went to like 10 straight state title games.

Left there and has worked at Miami twice now with a two year Falcons stint in between.

That's great for both TWill and Miami if true. Similar to Kodi, it will be good for him to broaden his career experiences.

Agreed. T-Will needs to sink or swim on his own. I think he will do fine but needs to learn under multiple DC’s. See the game a little different. Maybe in the future can come back to AU. Great recruiter and not a bad coach but definitely wasn’t ready for an expanded role at AU. Kodi I’m not sure will be back at AU as an on field coach. Just will take him a while gain the experience needed since he only knows one system.

Looks like we added another ... GA? Offensive Line GA from San Diego State Patrick Kugler. Played OL at Michigan.

His Dad is Sean Kugler, longtime NFL OL coach and coached at Boise in 2006 with Harsin.

You (or someone else) had to dig to find that connection

Some of these moves seem like Harsin has his next guy in line already on staff.

Worth mentioning that he retained Kendall Simmons as an analyst/ OL assistant

I don't know what Gus's staff looked like beyond the on-field assistants, but it seems like we have a lot of OL coaching support.

Harsin finally watched our 2020 game film...he knows where the help is needed most

Seriously though, it seems like we're transitioning from a very basic OL scheme to something much more complicated, so it shouldn't be a surprise to see extra assistants for that position group

I never understood the Kodi hate on here. I think he’s a decent coach. Hopefully this is a good stop for him.

I'm not sure it's hate only credibility. Would Kodi have been hired and made the ridiculous money Auburn paid him anywhere else in the country? Probably not. We hired Auburn guys with GA level coaching resumes and paid them like they were the best in the business.
