Strong candidate for UCF. New AD hired him at Arky State

He’ll kill it at UCF. Easier schedule and a system that works at that level.

UCF fans don’t seem thrilled.

Orlando Sentinel reporting he's been offered, but no word if he'll accept.

Support staff update:

Eric Kiesau, former Boise State OC and QB coach, joins the staff as an analyst

I'm assuming offensive analyst of some sort? That's impressive to add an OC to the support staff.

Eric Kiesau
According to wiki, he was OC under former BSU HC Dan Hawkins at Colorado, OC under Sarkasian at Washington, and served the 2015 season as an offensive analyst at Bama (which would have been while Kiffin was OC there).

Kind of a step down for him career-wise from OC/QB under Harsin at BSU last year. It's not like he doesn't have any P 5 experience.

I guess sometimes you need a job and you take what’s there

True dat

Which brings up another question - does an analyst position require one's physical presence? I mean, can he analyze offenses (ours and our opponents) from his home?

Seems like under those circumstances it could be a pretty sweet gig if the money was right.

Certainly a step back, but it also sets him up to fill a WR or QB coach role in the case of turnover here, or sets him up for a gig elsewhere in the SEC. I think the story also mentioned we had another former OC on staff (North Texas?), not sure if that one has already been reported or not.
