What is it that you would have him do differently? He’s made improvements in our roster and depth, and he ran off all the turds. He brought in his guys in year 2 for the staff to all be on the same page. His strength and conditioning program is light years better than Gus’, and he improved the staff from year one to year two. Most of the recruiting woes we have are due to a coup attempt he had nothing to do with. If he can scrape together 8 wins that will change too. Why all the hate?

Losing five straight didn’t help him prior to the coup

I’m not a hater but a realist. I think Harsin is probably a pretty good coach at some other program where you’re the big dog in the conference. As evidenced prior to the supposed “coup” attempt Harsin was a very poor recruiter. Don’t give me horse crap of first year coach. Florida has a first year coach they are recruiting much better then us. Notre Dame much better then us. Miami much better then us.

Our roster is going down in team talent. The upper classmen may help this year with their experience but next year is going to be a train wreck.

Let’s see strength and conditioning? What evidence it’s better? Seems we had more injuries last year, we couldn’t run the ball. Never had the issue running the ball under Gus. Even with the same OL. Georgia state absolutely shut down our run game, Georgia fricking state.

How do we know the staff improved yall really watched that many Boise games to know the new coordinators are an improvement?

Like I said I’m not a Harsin hater but what has he shown since he’s been here that he’s the man for the job? Every coach since Dye has won the conference or gone undefeated in their first or second season at AU. Dye did it in his 3rd season.

So we will see how it turns out. I hope we never lose another game. I’m just actually shocked at how horrible his recruiting is and that leads to losses in this conference.

-Quit making terrible in game decisions (We’re not Jax State)
- ur not a 1st time HC so quit making decisions like u r
- SEC is a league of players and depth, especially interior. Get them!
- recruit like a dog and out hustle Kirby ( he can’t and won’t). Not visiting HS til this yr is unforgivable regardless of Covid especially considering u r not of this area
- improve your assistant coaching staff. Only have 2 that would get jobs of this caliber if u got fired
- use the Fing portal to improve roster instead of losing ur best players
- win some critical recruiting battles vs Clemson

That’s just a few

" He’s made improvements in our roster and depth"

Can anyone really say our roster has improved after that LOSING season.

"he ran off all the turds"

And you know this how, because they decided to go somewhere else.

"He brought in his guys in year 2 for the staff to all be on the same page"

Who fault was it for the 1st year staff?.

"His strength and conditioning program is light years better than Gus"

I will refer you to Corch.

"he improved the staff from year one to year two"

Again who fault is that and how good will they really be.

" Most of the recruiting woes we have are due to a coup attempt he had nothing to do with"

So if they are complains we should not look into them. Our recruiting has suck since he has been here look around and see how other 1st and 2nd year coaches are doing. Most of the time 1st year coaches brings excitement we have had none.

"If he can scrape together 8 wins that will change too"

wins will help yes but I see us winning 4 games but yesterday.

There is 1 thing that I pray I'm wrong at and that is this season us playing great football. I been a Auburn fan since 1969 and the Miss State game last year was the 1st time I have ever turn my tv off before 0:00 in the 4th qt. I'm behind CBH until he is not the coach at Auburn but he has to be better at recruiting, and game management

You are crazy if you see Auburn only wins 4 games. We will have 4 wins before the UGA game. Ibsee Auburn winning 8 maybe 9 games

No you’re not.

GTFO. No way Auburn wins only four games this year. No way. I think 7–8 wins is about where we finish.

Corch isn’t in the weight room. I’m going by the testimony of the players, all, to a man have said that the team is much bigger stronger and faster than at any time since they’ve been there.

OP doesn't realize that the onus is actually on him to prove why we need to be excited about a HC coming off a 6-7 season with barely acceptable recruiting. A 6-7 season in which coaching failures led to multiple games lost wherein we had the lead. Most 1st year HC's get an automatic recruiting boost by being able to pitch change and excitement: we had none of that. Instead we just barely scraped together an OK class, mostly because LSU fired their HC.

He is speaking from the position that the HC has actually given some reason for excitement or proof of concept. Yet if he actually opened his eyes for one second, he would see that to date the HC is nothing more than a soundboard. Lots of nice quotes about working hard and all that nonsense, but what is the actual proof of concept? 4th and 1 mentality? Was it 4th and 1 mentality when the HC cowered and chose to play for OT against a vastly superior Bama team, when we could have won the game? Were they working hard on the recruiting trail when it was discovered that they were constantly late or never even visited certain schools?

I'll play along OP: please explain to me how the HC has improved the talent and depth at OL. I'm waiting. Do you even know who is going to be available to start in 2023? Are you even aware that virtually the entire OL is gone this season, and yet the HC Has brought in virtually no one?

He had such a flawed approach to closing the season and to recruiting I didn’t think the question needed to be answered?
How about:
Not lose 5 games in a row
Not bring in the 11th rated recruiting class in the SEC with the necessary adjustment of Tre removed.
Not go 0-4 on NSD
Don’t go crying to Pete Thamel.
Not get embroiled into career threatening scandal
Don’t conduct a national OC search and end up with Kiesau

What he can keep doing:
-sound great in the off-season. He even has 85%er bammer rooting for him

I was a big Gus supporter and thought he was a very good coach at Auburn but even I came to terms that apathy had entered the program and was time to change.

Some act like little brothers to Bama. Auburn never backs down from Bama. They are on a high of all highs. But Georgia, Clemson, Penn state, Tennessee shouldn’t be in our back yard whipping our arse in recruiting

This one is actually even worse than what you wrote. He wasted nearly a month biding his time and trying to hire his friend Zak Hill, in the midst of extremely serious NCAA charges. Thank god our compliance team prevented that from happening.

Did he even use his brain for one second? Did he consider that he can't hire his friend who is about to be forced to resign from his current job because the NCAA has a mile of shite on him? How did he ever get the impression that this would be a good idea? Is he already building a coaching staff around Nepotism? Why else would he fight so hard to try to hire someone who is completely unhirable?

Then, after wasting weeks trying to hire Hill, he ends up hiring an OC who supposedly had such serious off-field problems that he had to resign just 6 weeks after he was hired. Did Harsin do zero work vetting Austin Davis? Does anyone actually know what happened there?

The entire OC search fiasco should make anyone with a functioning brain extremely worried about Harsin's decision making process.

We were 4-1 and then 6-2 to start last season as well.

What exactly is that going to prove to you? That we can beat Mercer, San Jose State, and Missouri lol?

5-0 means frick-all if we then proceed to go 1-6 or 2-5 to close the season. If that happens, nobody is going to care what we started the season.

When was the last time you heard any player at any program publicly say that they felt like they were getting “smaller”, “weaker”, and “slower” under a new coach?
