Yes we 100% agree. But people want to blame someone. If the PTB isn’t the enemy there, Harshin is the enemy. If he isn’t the enemy, I’m the enemy and should be banned here. There is a nasty thread called “Harsin Haters are in full scramble mode” on Rivals over a couple 2024 commits and I’ve mostly ignored it but 210 replies in and the only conclusion is everyone is a part of the problem.
People are mainly trying to dance around facts that slap them in their face.

Bruce - Harsin comparisons shouldn't be used. Bruce took a historically bad program and turned it into powerhouse. Harsin took a historically successful program and shite the bed in his first year. Not even a close comparison
Harsin has his chance to redeem himself this year. This roster is his, this coaching staff is his. How his career plays out will be largely determined by the results we see in the coming months. First 5 games are crucial to winning back the fanbase

I hope he does well and I'm going to watch either way but recruiting was poor before the coup. There was no "splash".
I'm no fan of the drama from this year but at this point from a realistic perspective it's going to be a tough turnaround.

and Gus turned it into a mediocre program. We couldn't beat LSU or UGA anywhere. We only hoped to beat bama every other year. He never beat LSU, UGA or bama on the road. The reason the series record with UGA has grown is because of Gus. It was basically tied when he took over.

I was calling him Inept Gus his entire last year you dolt. I was definitely defending him by calling him that........and yes, I was beyond shocked we came up with the money to fire him. Many were.
I am the kind of "lukewarm" fan that doesn't bitch and gripe about everything. I am not fickle and think the grass is greener somewhere else. I saw it with Tub. I support until it's no longer time to support. If that is lukewarm, you are just a shitty fan because you bitch daily.

I always worry about that. I constantly hear how schools negative recruit against us. We give those schools the ammo. If there wasn't constant criticism for our HC, by our fanbase, other schools wouldn't have that bullet in the chamber. If you think it doesn't have a bearing on some of these kids decisions, you are in denial.

I am. Honest question............what exactly does not supporting the HC gain?
Bruce was given a long enough leash to implement his program. He had shown he could be successful at this level. I didn't hear fans bitching about his putrid start.
Butch was given the opportunity to establish his program. He had not shown a damn thing previously as far as running his program. I didn't hear fans bitching about his 8 conf. win start.
...........but let's fire Harsin after one year....even though every Auburn fan knew our roster had some serious deficiencies, not of his making.
It just makes zero sense.......add in the fact that we will have to go after some up-and-comer and hope we hit it square. We haven't gotten coaches in the past because of the "quick trigger" cloud that hangs over us.

It shows you can coach. He has low star players at BSU, just like everybody in that conf..
BSU went 7-5 (5-3) last year. Harsin's lowest win total was 9. He had double digit wins in five of his six full seasons there.
Look at our history of HC hires. We aren't doing better.
