The potential is off the charts with Deion and I’m not sold that he cannot handle a program.
Some school will look like a genius hiring him but the only difference is I think Auburn is a good enough school where if he has success at Auburn he doesn’t bolt from Auburn. Coaches don’t willingly leave Auburn
With that said, Harsin is here for year two at least. Once fall camp rolls around I’ll be supporting our guys.

I'm 100% with you on Deion. I don't know that Auburn has the vision to make the hire though.

Whats the worst that could happen? Auburn lose 5 or 6 games?

That is it! That is why we need a top notch recruiter as our next hire. Sure it could go bad with the coach, but the talent will be there for the next guy. I wasn't a huge fan of Cristobal as a coach, but really wanted us to hire him last time around for this same reason.

So our plan is to fire our current HC and staff and pay them about $20 million in buyouts, then hire a guy with exactly 20 games HC experience at a HBCU (since we're 'not convinced he can't handle the job') and take advantage of his recruiting prowess (his current school finished #122 in the composite rankings last year, exactly 1 position above fellow HBCU Grambling), and watch the top recruits line up to play for him - and don't worry if he sucks as an actual coach, because we can fire him and his staff in a couple of years (buyout TBD) and hire a REAL HC? Is that our plan?
Just want to be sure before I jump on board the Prime Time Train...

Justin Hokansen reported within the last 2 weeks that the ptb want to hire Will Muschamp or Charlie Kelly!
I told you all the PTB and shitty Auburn fans would make it impossible to hire anyone worth a shite. The alignment is way out of kilter for a good coach and for Auburn to reach the levels of other top teams. That’s where the problems lie.

I don’t believe that shite for a hot second and you shouldn’t either.

Believe it or not, I was talking to a so-called insider I know about 3 weeks ago and he threw out the Muschamp name. I really thought he was joking.

You can believe shite from that hack all you want. I guess I thought you were smarter than that.

The guy brought a stud DB to HBCU. Need I say more?

I am smarter than that. It's already shown itself that the football program is not aligned. So how you can pretend that's not a thing is beyond me. The names he posted doesn't matter to me. I don't care about that and irrelevant to my position.
I will add you won't see any replacement names better than what he posted by the way.

But why is that? Our other coaches are doing okay.
If he gets fired for doing shitty in year one, two, and three and his effort never picks up, then that says more about him, than anybody.
For those that say we dont give him what he needs, it is estimated that our coaching staff has doubled, if not tripled since Gus’s days with administration and off the field coaching staff. The guy has everything he needs. He needs to get to work.

Time will show who is right.
We will never get to the level of our two big brothers under the current circumstances. We may eke out a great season here and there like usual, but nothing more.

How about good judgement? Trying to hire Zak Hill and then hiring Austin Davis is all the evidence needed to show that judgement is lacking.

He no doubt raised some eyebrows there. We just got away from a coach with a shallow pool of assistants to call upon. For the most part I’ll give him season 2 and see if he can raise the bar. Got damn Pat Dye reincarnated***and can win? If he ever does figure it out we will love him. I hope it happens.

Pat Dye reincarnated
I loved Coach Dye. He reminded me a lot of Coach Jordan. The sad thing is that I don't know how well either coach would do nowadays with all the changes. Remember the Junction Boys? If a coach tried that today he would either get sued, fired, or excoriated in the press.
