My guess is that Thorne will get the job but we may see Robby Ashford play from time to time.

Ashford was probably the worst QB we've ever started. On top of no actual QB ability at this level, he also showed no leadership.

This is the most used but most meaningless phrase.

Half the time people use it sarcastically.... probably more than half actually. There is a purpose for it.

He needs at least one year to learn the system before he takes over

Thorne will be our best QB since JS. Praise be. Been a long time since we have seen competent QB play.

Laugh if you want, but Holden would have started if the staff hadn’t landed a transfer.

Robby struggled to learn critical elements in Hugh/Pmont’s offense. Holden was starting to pick up on stuff towards the end of spring.

Any QB will improve with a solid O-line providing real protection.

The summer workouts are as much about players organically coming to realize who their best option is at QB a much as anything. The separation will come in Fall practice when pressure is applied. Ashford’s challenge is going to be keeping his head about him and being a leader, and Thorne’s will be making plays when things break down. My money is on Thorne because Freeze is such a stickler for making good decisions when the bullets are flying.

Id put his shitty play up against JF3's shitty play and let them decide. They are both truly terrible.

As long as its not him, it will be better for everyone involved.

A Hugh Freeze offense with Thorne at the helm will not produce bottom of the barrel results. I dont care what Mike Bratton has to say. He is clueless. Freeze offenses produce top 5 Qbs. Thorne will be a top 5 Qb in the SEC this year

Without a decent line, I’m not sure Ashford was the “worst ever.”

Keihl Frazier May be the biggest disappointment since BM recruited him specifically to run his offense.

EVER is a long time back to 1892. We probably have started worse.
