I think Sean Jackson will be gone too. He could be starting for UAB, South Alabama, JSU, etc.

Former Auburn commit Armani Goodwin just transferred to UAB. I can't see him beating that dude out for playing time, but he should definitely look elsewhere to play. In my opinion it's battie, but it wouldn't shock me to see a Hunter or Alston go. Money is Money.

And nobody is paying big for a RB these days. RBs, especially ones in the portal, are a dime a dozen.
If you are a HS RB with P5 potential these days, you better be Christian McCaffrey good, or choose your college very carefully. Because like I said, nobody is going out of their way to scour the portal for a RB now.

I agree. Even in the NFL, RBs aren't getting paid well. A top RB isn't as important as it was when we had Caddy and downtown Ronnie Brown

That's some tough news for him. He already missed time during the spring, but apparently the first surgery didn't go well. He still has a developing fracture and won't be able to participate in summer workouts for awhile. Had he gone to Auburn I would be losing my ish about the unlucky break. Lol Seriously though, hope he recovers.

How long is the portal window open for? I thought only 2 days, but then you usually get some names trickling out late for the day or so.

I think one of the things affecting the ptaorl for the SEC is that, in this window, you cant transfer to another SEC school and play this fall.
You have to figure most of the kids on an SEC roster, their 2nd and 3rd choices.....were probably another SEC roster. So the temptation is not as great to go play far away in a strange place culturally, and just as importantly, other schools cant poach because you were probably on their take list as well.

Man I'm actually stunned that Holden and several others haven't hit the portal yet. I'm sure they're listening and having conversations with teams, but assumed that there would be like 7-8 guys go instantly after everything the media people have been saying.

Jville, I think that is the issue with a lot of the guys "we thought would hit the portal". If I can stay on scholly at Auburn rather than Memphis State (cause there will be very little NIL money wherever I am), Ill stay at Auburn.
Right now we have ample schollies, they get tight, these fellas might get a visit from "the Turk".

Holden doesn't have film so him not getting looks (So Far) makes sense, but what about JaVarrius Johnson? Dude balled out against Bama, has all types of film available for teams to watch, but he's been without a team since the FIRST portal window. What's the deal? Anybody got info? Just doesn't make sense.
