But if Cam leaves, they need to keep Perry for that big possession WR.

No, they don't. There are going to be so many Perry Thompson's in the portal. The kid has 280 yards receiving after two seasons, and the problem is that he almost certainly getting paid way above his production. You won't have trouble finding a big-bodied former top recruit who hasn't lived up to the hype yet.

On the pick 6 versus Arkansas, PT could have worked harder to win that ball.

It’s on 11, but we got to win across the face there.

If they leave, they leave.

It will be ok.

I just don't know what more we or ANYONE else could have done for Perry. He never won the Job. Fields just got hurt. Had he gone to Bama he'd have two career rec in the same span of time. Instead he STARTED and contributed in almost every game.

If cam leaves yall can call me what you want but I’ll be off Auburn football for a few years. The writing will have been on the wall at that point and we will have hired Harsin 2.0. It’s already trending that way.

Perry has 22 more catches for Auburn than I do the past 2 seasons. We will be okay if he leaves.

I hate to break this new reality to you, but coaching upheaval in todays CFB is likely to lead to big pieces leaves. Auburn might have mitigated some of the defensive attrition by retaining Durkin but we'll see if all the "players wanted him to be coach" opinions actually mean players won't transfer out.

Used to, it was only the incoming recruiting class that was affected.

This years complete implosion on offense has made me apathetic to retaining all but a few of the guys who you can see have potential through all the shite we saw on the field.

I’m not going to stress if Cam leaves. Money talks, not much you can do about it,

What has happened that caused this reaction?

Think it’s pretty early to make a judgement either way

Yall can downvote all you want but the implosion of offense had tons to do with poor coaching and less to do with the players. It’s crazy we hire golesh and some of you are saying it’s unimportant if we lose them and next up when we don’t have a next man up of that caliber.

Shocker. He'll probably transfer back in and out again before it's all said and done.

I’ll give you 30 million reasons why it won’t be like Harsin…

I’m being realistic, it’s hard to pivot off your stars leaving. We’ve done this before and it went horribly. Sorry if I’m pretty used to Auburn being Auburn at this point.

But we didn’t have 30m this year for a class? I’ll believe that when I see it.

Brother almost every program is going to undergo this at some level in this environment. The rot around our offense doesn't just magically disappear because Freeze is gone. I was never a college football player but it has to be embarrassing walking around campus for two years after the performances we put up week after week. Some of these guys are just going to want a fresh start and it's hard to blame them. Hopefully we can keep enough of a core and Golesh can do some work in the portal but we aren't going from 5 straight losing seasons to a well oiled machine overnight.

A lot of fans want to be optimistic with the new staff but most of us are jaded enough now to be in the "show me" phase. That's how recruits are going to be. We'll have to evaluate well and/or overpay to bring in the talent we need at this point.

Who cares how much it is. Just spend what you have, save all the guys you can. You wont save them all. Its not like Golesh is running the talent off by being a dick. That is what happened with Haskins. Its not like Harsin made a effort to keep the talent. It was his MO from previous jobs

Lets see what Golesh is going to do. There is no coach in football that we could have hired that would have kept all the guys on the roster. It is just a result of the new game we live in

Who has left?

We have no idea who is leaving and who is coming.

Hell, top level programs who have made no staff changes will lose players. It is the times we are in. IF people don't like the landscape of todays college football..............I hear cricket is always looking for new fans.
