Singleton should sue Hugh Freeze. Coaches determine who will produce and Freeze flat out couldn't call a pass to him. And Daniels, too.

If we think 21 is a lot leaving (and yes there will be more), Indiana had 38 leave Cigniti’s first year. Texas Tech had 31 leave last year. Now they are both in the playoffs.
The part that makes it all look so bad now is that the portal open date is so much later than in the past. So we’re seeing news that players are leaving, but won’t get any news on players coming in for another couple weeks. That’s when we will really be able to judge how we are doing with NIL.

NIL can't be based on incentives, that's against the rules. The point of the Hoke article was that people that sit on the bench shouldn't make big money. Those that produce (ie Cam Coleman, Atkins) make the big bucks.

But we have no way of knowing if that is NIL related. If that is the reason, then yeah it’s a concern.

if any staff thinks they have a "system" for NIL, well, that is a joke.
Of course your not going to pay non performers - just like everyone else in the country.
In order to win, you will still need to pay big time for unproven 4 and 5 star high schoolers as well as semi - proven portal players. Freeze had that right.
This is not a commentary on the current staff as nobody knows.
But don't be retarded and say we are now going to be like such and such efficient NFL organization. No, we don't have draft pics for sucking, the name of the game is still just amassing raw talent and dealing with the aftermath and any bad consequences. 4 and 5 stars have been evaluated as well as they possible could be evaluated for at least the last 20 years.

Hell, we don't even know if he is actually going to leave yet

Because then they couldn't have their whiny little bitch sessions and doom and gloom sessions if things don't turn out how they are predicting. This way they can do it regardless of how things turn out.
In Jang's case he just doesn't seem happy unless he's stirring up shite or trolling about something. Or trying to make everyone else as unhappy as him I guess as the case may be.
We've had what 21-22 guys enter the portal, and only about 4 of those could realistically be considered a huge deal (Amaris, Blocton, Crawford, and Simmons). The first three of those definitely will hurt if they truly leave, particularly in terms of depth, and are a little concerning.
But it's kinda pointless to freak out about until we see who we are bringing in the portal and what we look like after portal is over.
And trying to claim he's going to recruit like Harsin before Golesh has even had a chance to recruit is just silly.

I'm starting to move into the mode of tuning out on all this noise until July. Will update myself on the roster after Independence Day (250th Anniversary baby!!!) instead of following the up and downs of the day to day during portal and recruiting season and NIL negotiations. It's more emotional than my daughter's middle school gossip. Can't be good for my fading health.

We have fans who have the emotional bandwidth of a middle schooler. I would hope they wait until after Jan. 2 and after Golesh has at least coached a practice not to mention some games in the fall before they start self harming. He is re-recruiting this team and making his evaluations off of film and interviewing. Now, we may not agree with his evaluations but we don't mean shite. This team is filled with guys who only know how to lose games. They needed to be culled. USF last season would have won more games playing AU's schedule than this team of all stars did that these hang wringers want to keep at all costs. Yes, we have pussies galore on here enough to cast another Bond movie.

That's preposterously funny. Why you hate me.

I’ve backed off for a few days to a week to see if I’ll feel differently but I’m more or less unmoved. I like how he talks but starters leaving is concerning. I am optimistic we will get some back come January and some decent additions but (for me) I wish they’d stop the bleeding.

Don't hate you my man. But when you get off on screw everything doom and gloom tangents like you have here lately you start encroaching into Scoper/Stidham territory with your posting. Unlike those two I don't doubt that you are an Auburn fan (though I do sometimes wonder if you hate Bama more than you like Auburn
I get it, Auburn football has sucked, the NIL era royally sucks, so there has been nothing to be happy about. I'm a glass half full guy myself, I have zero problems calling out things if they are stupid or make no sense.
I didn't like the Harsin hire and hated the Freeze hire, and had zero reason to think either would be successful, and they weren't.
Golesh is at least something new, and was a solid hire given the circumstances. He's had major offensive success everywhere he's been, and that includes the SEC for multiple seasons as OC. He deserves the benefit of the doubt for turning things around. At least let the guy get a complete season in before trying claim he's a failure, holy crap. Going chicken little mode when he's just been hired is kinda crazy.

Trying to keep daily track of this crap is like checking your investment accounts daily. Just don’t do it. It will drive you nuts.

Supposedly he is on the super secret "we need to keep" list.

So now we are losing "starters" off a 5 and 7 team with a run of four losing seasons. Heaven forbid we clean this disaster out and bring in some who want to win.
Can we please take them out to the junction and see who wants to be a team. At least close the barber shop in the football complex for a week
Amaris needs to stay gone, fooled once shame on me, fooled twice. He has less tackles than Blockton. Are you kidding me? If this guy was asking for more than a buck fifty he has priced himself out of the market.
