Gus deserved to be fired even before he was at AU. Talk about a "Yes Man". That described Jay Jacobs' tenure as AU AD to a "T".
He also ran David Marsh off. Jay Jacobs is a nice guy. I knew him as a student at AU when he was also a student. He was totally incompetent as AD. Just because he was better than Greene and depending on how Golesh turns out, Jacobs may be better than Cohen. But that is really setting the bar low.

This right here is the best advice! As an all girl Dad of 3 amazing grown young ladies and 4 awesome granddaughters I feel like this is the correct answer. Well done.
re: Kirby is clearly the best coach in the SEC currently. Kiffin is #2. Prove me wrong.

I would rather have Kiffin over Deboer as well. At present time, before Golesh and Sumrall show what they can do, I would have Kiffen tied for 3rd in the conference behind Kirby and Sark, but tied with Elko. Once Golesh and Sumrall reach year 3 at AU and UF, I would expect Kiffin to be below them. Kiff doesn't have the courage and guts to win a championship. Hell, he may not even make to Atlanta. But, for right now, he is top 4 in the conference.
Parker deserves a special spot in Hades!
We weren’t watching it, but some random person stuck their head in the classroom and said the space shuttle had exploded. The room got silent then the professor said that was enough calculus for the day.
I have to set my alarm ending in five or zero so I am your opposite. I also have other OCD issues as well.

I take it you have been there. That store paid for my comfortable life and my college education so I have a hard time complaining too much about it. Like a lot of people, I think he did the best that he could. His Dad was absolutely NOT a good role model so he didn’t have a good foundation to work with. I dislike sounding ungrateful.
I was in my last class before graduation at AU - Calculus 162 (I stupidly put taking this class until the end). Someone stuck their head in the class and announced the Challenger had exploded. The professor immediately dismissed class. What TV for the rest of the day. Sad day!!

Yep!
My Dad taught me the value of hard work. He is not a communicator when it comes to "life things". I think I am a disappointment to him because I never got into fixing things (he is an awesome mechanic and small engine repair), fishing and I didn't have any interest in taking over the family business - Supermarket in Notasulga, AL. I am more like my Mom. He also would miss a lot of my football and basketball games. My Mom never missed one.
Someone posted that it was when they became adults, got married and had kids that they looked back at their life growing up and thought "wtf". That is my experience as well. I struggle with communication as well. I am trying to open up to him more now. He is 83 is still at the store 6 days a week by 4 AM.

Pretty much agree with all of this. I think Steven was the natural successor to Bruce although Bruce did his son and AU no favors for bailing like he did. Also, Cohen was a moron for giving mini-Pearl (I like the nickname btw) a 5-year deal. Should have been 3.
Oh I am sure Golesh has given your “concern” the consideration it deserves.??

So do I brother, so do I.
My favorite Christmas movie Young Grasshopper. Young Grasshopper is from the old Kung Fu movie from the 70's with David Carridine (sp). I know that was way before your time.
This is true young grasshopper.

Just like on AUFamily, you have a select few pussies who are clutching their pearls because of the "talent" we lost. That talent has sucked for the most part since 2018. There is ZERO reason to whine and cry about the talent that left. I wish these simpletons would at least wait until something happens during a game to bitch. Or maybe if Golesh allows the inmates to run the asylum off of the field like Freeze. I am far from a sunshine pumper and I will complain when we lose a game or players start getting arrested. Hell, I wanted Gus fired after 2016 after being all in from 2013-2015. I get it that some of you are just playing a role as message board pot stirrer or contrarian. At least one poster on here is butthurt about someone on the previous staff being let go because he/she/it finds something wrong with EVERY player we sign in the portal and comparing them to the "talent" we lost. Gives off worse Mike G vibes than Mike G himself.
Skechers Slip Ons are game changers. I wish they were around long ago when I was in my 30's. I have two pair. I hate tying shoes now.

I guarantee you that Deuce Knight is not expecting to sit on the bench next season. At worst, he is wanting a completely transparent QB1 battle with he and whomever is brought in start out on equal footing. If he loses the battle for QB1 no matter how fair the competition, he is going to whine and put Ole Miss on blast on his social media. That is just who DK is. I am glad he is gone from AU as my post history indicates. He is one of those guys who is all about the $. He cares nothing about Ole Miss, AU or any team other than what he can get. Good luck with him.

Looks like UK is handing everyone their asses, not just AU, when it comes to high profile OL recruiting. Our "all world" OL we bought for 2025 sucked out loud. I am fine going into the season with some USF guys on the OL.
I agree, but I am afraid that is probably not happening again. Can't put the Genie back in the bottle.
