Why are recruiting a TE in the portal? Seems to be more urgent needs and limited schollys, dont we already have four returning.

We lose alot next year though. Might as well get a developmental guy in the system.

We didn’t take one in HS this year even though they wanted one. Need to get a multi year guy.

Maybe Freeze is looking for a different type.

I just hope his gamble pays off. Putting lots of play makers around Thorne instead of aiming for a higher QB could backfire if PT can't get them the ball reasonably.

But HF see Thorne every day and studies the film to see what screwed up every single play. So it may be more other people's fault than the QB. I do know we don't get much separation or fight from our WRs it seems like and it's easier for a WR and QB to make a play if the WR is broken wide open.

There were several wide open WRs all season long. Either PT didn’t see them, or he missed them horribly. Freeze is actively trying to get his replacement.

Actively means visits being taken and scholarships being rendered. I don't believe you as usual.

Do we know what the actual numbers are right now? How close to the 85 are we?

I saw a 3rd and 6 and the receiver ran a 4 and out and Payton sailed it over his head because the fricking receiver cant even see the yard marker that was a few yards ahead of him. And he did it twice in two different games.

I saw a tight end in the deep flat in a mispatch with a small db, Thorne throws it back shoulder so the huge tight end could use his body to shield the catch, instead he turns to face the QB and the DB steps right in front of him and knocks the ball away.

I saw a running back staying in to block watch the arses of three of our linemen block two men on the right side of the line while a safety, who had creeped up and was obviously coming, knock Thorne's head off a half second after the ball was snapped and Freeze, wrongfully telling Thone he should have gotten rid of it.....when he didnt even have time to raise his arm.

I saw time and time again mac jones make pitiful throws and Waddle and Smith make the catches look routine.

I watched mac jones walk up to the line of scrimmage see the mlb moving up to blitz, devonta looking at the lb looking at mac and when the ball was snapped run a crossing pattern right behind the blitzing backer and take it to the house.

As Corch has said many times great receivers make all the difference, once these new receivers get their legs under them we will be amazed at how good Thorne looks in the second season

I still think we need to give Geriner some meaningful snaps later in games, Thorne keeps taking those blows like he did against Bama he wont make it through the season.

He had great WRs at MSU, looked bad, and lost his starting job.
