Yeah Riddick will be a guy we can put at OLB and even in space and his athleticism will carry him early on. Barber just seems like one of those guys that knows what the offense is trying to do on every play.

So smurphy alluded to another commit or info about someone coming. What happened with that?

Only thing I’ve heard is I think we have Carter locked down. And Robinson committing Friday.

You definitely worded it better than I did brother. Remember almost every athlete has a NFL comparison on any recruiting website. They aren't saying this guy will be Randy Moss or Marshawn Lynch, just giving you a play style, frame similarity, or production potential to compare him to. I mentioned 2 short linebackers at similar positions just like a talent evaluator. I mentioned Josh if that's who you're referring to, because even though he didn't have great athleticism (4.8 speed) he made up for it with instincts. I don't think Barber has prototypical NFL size, but he could also make up for it because HE also has good instincts. Several people have compared Ryan Williams to devonta Smith because they both are very skinny and possess explosive generational talent. Barber can be really good, IF Riddick lives up to potential he can be great. It's much easier to find good than great is my point.

For me at linebacker instincts over athleticism. Tackling ability over speed.

If you combine both you have an all American

I hear you man. Do you think Barber will be a better college linebacker than Riddick? Does Riddick have bad instincts? I've seen his highlights and talked to people about his potential but never been to a game. I remember the Auburn live guys saying that Barber is the better Linebacker right now BUT when and if the light comes on for Riddick he could be special.

I think Reddick is going to have a similar freshman year as Pappoe did. Meaning I don't think he will start, but he will see the field plenty. We are losing some guys at LB and a lot of the depth there isn't very good, so it wouldn't shock me if multiple freshman get PT at LB.

Generational talent is the most over used and thus contradictory statement in sports today, that is all. Have a blessed day

Yup...

This generation at Auburn was Cam
Last generation at Auburn was Bo

Those are our generational talents at Auburn (for now)

I don’t know that I would say a better college linebacker but I think Barber will have a more productive college career.

McClain not drafted. Pappoe drafted. Which was the more productive college linebacker?

Karlos Dansby.

Tracy Rocker never gets the love I think he should. As dominant a DL, in the college game, that has ever existed.

Don’t even joke. Wade Christopher was not a generational talent.

He transcends all generations.

Anyone that knows anything about Auburn history knows that Tracy Rocker is the greatest defensive lineman to ever play for AU. None other come close as far as career. Some guys have had some great seasons but Rocker stands alone a completely dominant DL for years
