For some of the old timers, how did Derrick Brown compare to Rock

To be fair, there were a lot of people who proclaimed Kris Frost the next Carlos Dansby. He just never panned out. Kris was a 5* and had insane athleticism if I recall correctly.

Kris Frost may not have been all world but he was a hell of a kid and played his heart out. Also, he Hors...errr...tackled Johnny Mansiel on a critical play against A&M.

I believe he is the one that was in the pilot program.

Derrick Brown for his senior season was comparable to what Rocker did for 3. Rocker played down the line of scrimmage better. Saying if he lined up at the right side DT spot and the offense ran outside to the left Rock could scrape down the line of scrimmage and make the tackle

Yup no disagreement there. A guy doesn't have to become an All-American to be an important contributor. Plenty of 5*s become pros... many become starters/contributors... some flame out.

Kris made some nice interceptions as well.

He was elite in pass coverage

Kris wasnt an elite linebacker. His coverage skills were for his position.

Tank wasnt elite at anything.

Kris Frost

Owner of Frost International, Football coach, Venture Capitalist & Private Equity

quote:

Following his four-year carer on the Plains, which resulted in 246 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, three interceptions and three and a half sacks, Frost never got back to 100 percent during the pre-draft activities leading up to 2016 NFL Draft. While his NFL.com draft profile pegged him as a late-round selection, Frost was not selected in the 2016 NFL Draft.

There is a reason he didn't do well in the 40 at the combine.

Damn, that's tragic. I mean, I watched him play when he was healthy and he was solid at best. Better than Holland, but that's not saying much. I'm glad he's successful and always thought he was a good kid

Frost collected 1.5 million from injury insurance.

He also saved Auburn from two losses.

Against Treadwell and Manziel.

He didn't live up to the 5* ranking BEFORE he got hurt man, but I hope he's living it up lol I'm very thankful for his efforts though. Even when I shite on a player it's never personal dude. Holland was a good guy, but he made me lose it whenever he missed open tackles and grabbed towels Lololol

DeAndre Carter just reaffirmed his commit and says he is locked in with Auburn

Also Blackstock the OL from MSU is close to Brandon Jacobs and his son. Jacobs says him being at Auburn would definitely help our chances with Brayden but wouldn't be the determining factor

247 listed him at ATH, which is what I remembered. Rivals had him at ILB.

I think we pitched him the chance to play either

I’ve been saying this for over a week. That’s why I was asking smurphy what he was hearing because he rumored we would be hearing some good news soon. So I asked other then Carter locked in what was he hearing?

Seemed obvious since we learned a few weeks ago the parents were flying out on their own dime to the IB. Someone said last week that the parents were both on board finally
