Last I heard he has to take like 30 credit hours. So yes It's possible but almost impossible.
Posted on 2/6/23 at 7:18 am to CorchJay
He could probably do it if you mean 30 credit hours spring and summer.
18 spring
12 summer.
Summer minimesters are the bomb.
I doubt he is taking on that workload though.
I had a 4.0 GPA at Alabama, in university honors college, while aceing 36 credit hours as a college freshman and an ROTC member. I had no vehicle and walked every where I went when I was 18 too. One frigid Winter morning in my sophomore year while walking to PT (which started at 5am) I was like what the frick am I doing: I could be partying and sleeping in right now. So I completely turned off the spigot of discipline and started partying in college and settled on the enlisted route. No regerts.

I think it was 30 hours to transfer to AU as an undergrad to make up for his non transferable credits, but I’ve seen people say that he doesn’t need that many to graduate with his bachelor’s from CC.
If he did, I don’t think he would be meeting his progression towards degree requirements there.

I don’t know if we know if it’s 30 hours to transfer or if he has less to finish his degree and just be a grad transfer. Either way, 30 can be done in a spring and summer but it ain’t gonna be fun for a guy that it seems didn’t go to college to play school.

For no other reason than just fun, there's a trending buzz that Bo has discussed transferring back. Lawd - what craziness that would be, but would actually be freaking perfect.

I started that rumor 3 weeks ago…pulled it from my butt.

The hope on McCall is that he just outright graduates. If he graduates then there is no roadblock and he simply comes as a grad transfer.

Wouldn’t he have to sit since he’s transferred, or does he get the “one time transfer” since he left AU as a grad transfer?
If that happened, what an indictment of Bryan Harsin.

Someone in the know even referred to Daniel Hill as a “unicorn” type of recruit: a rare recruit due to the combination of speed, size and elite athleticism. Want him for RB but would also take him at LB if that is where he wants to play.
He can play RB, Block, has great speed and quickness for such a big guy. He has won his fair share of 50/50 passes and can line up as a WR.
Auburn is in his top list that includes A&M, SC, Penn St, Bama, Arky, Tenn, MSU, Ole Miss
Bama is favored at the moment and has had a lot of visits from him.
Loves Hugh Freeze and Carnell and couldn't make it to Jr Day but will come to Spring Practice.
the one thing he can improve on is sometimes he is too comfortable and sometimes seems to just be trotting, and should he use his speed in those situations could be elite and a star.

The fact that McCall took himself out of the portal and our coaches were weirdly calm about recruiting QBs in the portal leads to a narrative where they knew they could get him enrolled in the summer and that it was worth waiting. Whatever the truth is, I firmly believe our coaches have something in mind for the QB position that they are confident about. There's no way they are just crossing their fingers that a QB they like hits the spring portal. They've done too many smart things to just throw next season away because they didn't love any of the available portal QBs.

Seems plausible and there will be more QB's entering the portal after their Spring camps. I believe if your scenario does not pan out that they will get one from the QB crop in the Spring.

Are you talking about Daniel Hill?

Feel like if the coaches were desperate, they would have taken that Sanders kid from OSU.

The coaches want to assess Robbie and Holden before they decide what they need. Personally I think Holden will have a leg up because of his better passing. This will be a passing offense and if Robbie can’t improve accuracy, he will not start. We will see.

Got new stuff for us today, smuph?
It’s pretty quite right now with the dead period. Once February is over we’ll rolling though.
The coaches really wanted the Duke QB to enter the portal, but he didn’t. He spent some time “visiting his gf” in early January, but doesn’t seem like anything came of it.

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if Holden came out of spring 1A or 1B.
Corch, on one of the call in shows one fella was talking with some of the players and they said if we had a decent line Holden would have been the starter last year, they said he is by far the best passer in the room, I know a blind squirrel and all that.
Without a portal one and out coming in for spring, it might turn out to be a very good thing. The coaches will get a lengthy look at both QBs and their destiny will be set long before fall.
So one will out shine the other, or they both are found lacking and we get a one and out in the portal, or baby goat comes in the fall and shocks the world as a true freshman. We cant lose.
You watch his tape, he runs his progressions, not one look and done, he runs his progressions and immediately fires the ball, and it may not be the last receiver in his progression, it may be back to the first or second option.
But his quick decision making and VERY quick release is built for the new offense.

I agree, which is why I don't think they are desperate. I'm taking the next step and assuming they aren't desperate because they already know how they are going to supplement the QB room.
