White has a very long way to become a 5 star in the rankings. He would have to be absurd in camps to jump that much. However he was number 1 on the board for the coaches and they got him.
I’m a star gazer as much as the next person but when good staffs identify a kid as their number 1 you just have to go with it whether they are a 5 or a 4 star. At this point I trust Freeze, Monty, and Austin.
Is this a 2 QB class? I would expect it to be. I really like the Flowers kid from Baker. Yes much higher for me than Noland.

If they do take 2 QBs I could definitely see this kid being the other one.

The 2QB class question is going to be a talking point all year IMO. It’s unclear to me

He might have a chance since Ashford will be eligible for the draft after this year.

You are correct. They don’t give out many 5 star QB ratings and he’s probably not gonna get that big a jump regardless of what he does. But as for me I couldn’t care less. I’m fine with him as a 4 star. It really doesn’t matter.

TBH I was trying to say in my post that he has a 5-star personality and a 5-star ability
I’m sure he and the staff are working hard to bring in the people that he mentioned. Seems like a leader and I like his enthusiasm!

In the recent interview available on YouTube, Montgomery seemed to indicate they plan to only take one QB. This was said before the White commitment as well. May have to watch it again to see what he actually said but that was what I took from it.

If not a 2 QB class then that probably means a portal QB after spring unless someone really steps up.
I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if Holden came out of spring 1A or 1B.
Unless Robby was really that affected by the shoulder then I don’t expect that much improvement other then better play calls.

Correction! I just rewatched the video and Montgomery said no such thing, so I don’t know where I got that. Maybe it was just in my head. Anyway, as you were.

I’d be surprised if they don’t take a portal QB. If Finley transfers as many expect, it almost assures it even if just a depth piece (Cord Sandburg, Grant Loy type) if nothing else.

2 QB class talking point will stick with us until we determine the transfer situation.

I have an admittedly limited understanding of the situation but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard. It's either possible to take the requisite classes in time or it isn't. The question is does he want to do it?
