This really sucks for Auburn and Chuma and at the same time it seems like the most unlikely things and moments can be surprising rallying points.

The injury really killed my celebration. Just kept thinking about the poor kid. NBA waiting on him and a chance to play in the final four. Not worried about him playing at AU again, just hope he can get back to 100%.

We need to get Miyagi to KC!

In all seriousness, my heart goes out to this young man. It really put a damper on what otherwise would have been a joyous occasion. I hope he recovers fully from this.

Same here. Hopefully he can get his knee right and make bank in the NBA.

Tate Frazier on One Shining Podcast said he got a text before the game that essentially said

"Watch out for Okeke, he is going to make Nassir Little look like needs to come back for a second year"

Nassir Little being projected top 5-10 pick / top 5 recruit

It’s gut wrenching for Chuma. He was flying up draft boards. Hope he gets back to 100% with a long and fruitful pro career. And if he can’t, hope he becomes an assistant at AU.

Man this has been so bittersweet. Chuma was not only the best player on our team, but he comforted me as a fan knowing that he could match up and compete with the best player any other team could throw at us. Watching Chuma grow into his own this year, and it culminating with the best game of his career on the biggest stage was really cool. I hate it for him and this team.

I do think we can rally around this loss next game. But losing our best post player and rebounder against a team like Kentucky... those are the two pieces you hate to be lacking in this game.

Wiley is going to have to replace Chuma’s post game and rebounding, Purifoy needs to replace the 3 point shooting. Bryce Brown and Harper are both going to need to have vintage 15+ point games. It can be done though, and I’m sure as heck done doubting this team.

My biggest concern is foul trouble early... everyone and their mother knows uk will pound it inside.... gonna be a lot of fronting the post and trying to steal before it gets to Travis and PJ.

Frick. Now I'm googling successful NBA ACL recoveries. I obviously wish we had him going forward because he's awesome but I don't care if he ever plays another minute for us. I just want him to recover and get himself paid.

Worst news possible.

Could’ve been worse... like dislocated knee/ multiple ligament tears. Not downplaying the ACL tear... but all things considered, this isn’t the worst news for Chuma.
