Per Marcello: Bruce says Okeke’s injury is serious. MRI scheduled for tomorrow. Tigers not expecting him to be available for Elite 8 and likely beyond.

Spencer is my favorite player on this team, but he’s no Okeke.

I've torn my ACL and MCL before. Before I went to the doctor, I could walk okay but my leg would buckle in at my knee if I wasn't careful. No stability in the joint.

Chuma's knee bent a good bit. Didn't look good.

Prayers for him. Hope he fully recovers from whatever the injury is and gets himself in the NBA. He deserves it.

March Madness Twitter posted this. Doesn't look any better than he did when he limped off.

For the season, almost certainly.

I don't think it is a foregone conclusion, injury or not, that he is leaving AU after this year. Not sure if that was what you were referring to.

A lot of people connected to AU expected him to return before this game.

After this injury though, hard to imagine him leaving. Unfortunately, hard to imagine him being a major contributor next year either

He certainly isn't coming out with a severe knee injury.

Absolutely 100% done.
Thankful for him to get AU here. Without him it doesn’t happen. Get well my man and well done.

Family medicine doctor here.. no sports med fellow ship but do a lot of MSK stuff by the nature of primary care.

Non contact valgus stress on a mildly flexed knee. If it was a test question I would go MCL as primary structure injured. But with how big these guys are the torque they apply can be like if a regular person had external forces too. You can have ACL and PCL involvment (and meniscus too) even without contact but less likely. Nothing is 100 Percent just on mechanism of injury though, will have to wait for MRI.

Also to the above guys often the anterior drawer (useless) and lachman(way better) are not as reliable right after an injury due to pain causing athletes to tighten up non injured structures making exams less reliable. It's a few days after when they come in after inflammation has calmed down that you really get the awful feeling of a true positive lachman.

I have no idea what any of that means. Just tell me how long before can play again.
