And Oregon don’t play anyone worth crap. But whatever it doesn’t matter what Gus does y’all won’t be happy. Proof is the ones who want Kiffin who was such a great head coach everywhere he went

Do you know who we just played tonight? Oregon is playing well no matter the opponent besides the opener, and has gotten significantly better from last year, Cristobal’s first year. Herbert could be top pick in the draft and the OL is arguably the best in the nation.
That’s what progress looks like.

I guess it’s easy to progress when your toughest game is the first game and your schedule is not back loaded with too 10 teams. And the ole miss game really. This team just got done with a war in Baton Rouge against the number 1 team and lost by 3. Guess you didn’t see guys banged up on both sides of the ball from that war, no you just want to bitch like you’ve always done. Ole miss just came off a bye week. If we played one big game at beginning of year and didn’t have to play Florida, LSU, Georgia and Bama and only cupcakes then anyone would progress and look better

The defense fought that battle. The offense didn’t put up much of a fight at all.

If that’s what you think, whatever. Our record isn’t indicative of how strong our collective team is.

Ole Miss is still a pathetic football team. Tulane isn’t all that great either. They lost to Memphis by 30.

This is still a horrible argument after last night; You’re almost tone deaf.

FSU is going to pay dearly for that one. They don’t have the jimmys and joes to make the numbers work fiscally all that well. They’ll be looking for a mid tier hire looking to make a name.

Why don’t you and jang pay the buyout. Until you do just keep pressing those keys griping and not supporting our team

Not supporting the team is settling for a mediocre HC. Some of us want better for Auburn.

Yeah we should boycott games until we hire either Nick Saban or Urban Meyer

Do people on here not like TCU's coach for some reason? I asked about him because I read that he interviewed I think twice once before we hired Chizik and I think again before we hired Gus.

I asked if he'd still be interested or if that ship has sailed. That post got 10 down votes, was just wondering if people don't like him or something. He seems to have done well at TCU.

I'm not Pro or Anti fire Gus I was simply asking if he were to be fired what about TCU's coach?

Gus is not Gene Chizik or Willie Taggart.

I thought this level of disillusionment was reserved for other fan bases? We are two years out from an SEC title game loss from a playoff berth and have only lost to two top 10 teams on the road this year with a tFR QB.

He has stumbled quite a bit since TCU joined the Big12 in 2012. Three really good seasons surrounded by 5 mediocre-to-bad ones. On track for another subpar year again in 2019. Has finished below .500 in conference play 5 times out of 8, and with games against Baylor and OU remaining will likely finish with a losing Big12 record a 6th time (Gustav has managed only 2 seasons under .500 in P5’s toughest division).

Plus he’s 59. Would have been a solid hire after Tubs 11 years ago, but I think his time has long passed.

FSU didnt win 6 games last year against a shitty schedule. They are below 500 this year against a worse schedule.

Not the same thing as being #12 against the toughest schedule in the country

Dude, you are full melt.

I have always liked Gary. I though he would have been a good choice for Auburn back in 2013. But honestly, he has not progressed TCU that much since being forced to go up against better competition.

He is a good defensive coach but not sure he would be any kind of grand slam hire by any means.

There are some major issues with what went down with Florida State and what could go down if Auburn decided to release Malzahn now and look for a replacement.

With these insane buyouts, there needs to be a grand slam hire after. If you are willing to pay a coach 20 million dollars to leave, there had better be a good replacement in mind. If not, the media and fans will eat you alive.

Im not comparing Malzahn to Taggert. They are very different situations. It could be worse for Auburn than for Florida State since FSU is in such a downward spiral.

Hopefully, there are better minds making these decisions than the ones who post on this message boards.

Dan Wolken is on twitter suggesting FSU should pull out the checkbook for Gus. FSU fans in the replies are all for it

Early reports are saying that private donations are covering the buyout. He also hasn’t been there a full 2 years yet. It’s commendable that they are willing to cut their losses early and not drag it out.
